Thom if you own your show, and are doing well with it, perhaps its time to grow and find another progressive talker in which you can bring under your business model and expand your market share.

Hmmm six hours of the Thom Hartmann radio network.... then nine, 18... dare I dream 24 hrs of the Hartmann radio network.... yep I can dream it... probably all it will ever be, but still its nice to dream.

The Democratic party's biggest problem is that they have not choosen one single issue to rally behind. They need to appeal to the "lizard brain" of the uninformed and independent voters. They need a focus point for these type of voters to make their binary choice. I'm not saying that the Democratic party abandon its platform, to the contrary they should embrace it, but they should find one plank of that platform and wield it like a club. In other words, no matter what x congresswoaman or y senator wants, they all always start their talk and end their talk rallying around the one plank.

Of course it can't be just any issue, it has to be polarizing, it has to be something any comman soul decides instantly its either right or wrong. A strong Black & White issue. Sure in the long run there will be those who find nuances in it, but it essentially has to be galvanizing... and ardently PROGRESSIVE.

    February 8, 2011

Here is my daily schedule. Weekends are more flexible. There is no guarantee what time I will awake – 12 noon-3PM I listen to Thom and I will sometimes listen to him and be on the computer, 3-4PM, computer, 4PM- 12 Midnight I try to relax with a life, 12 Midnight-? I may be on the computer.

Listening to Thom’s first hour convinced even more that the United States of Mortal Sin is a bullshit and a horseshit nation. The United States of Mortal Sin is a hell-hole and a rat-hole country. May God bless the Egyptians for their peaceful love for a better quality of life! Now, will Satan’s disciples in the United States of Mortal Sin let God-loving Americans have a better quality of life???

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND, ESPECIALLY IN THE UNITED STATES OF MORTAL SIN!!!

Well public employees may not make products, but there are several that do install and maintain equipment. No different then their privately employed counter-parts.

The con's feverish desire to eliminate all organized labor so often comes down to this one fundamental wish of theirs' "Keep the rabble down, and concentrate all power in the hands of the few." Perhaps con isn't short for conservative, maybe it's really control-freak. Tyranny flourishes in the hands of the powerful few, and collective-bargaining is the common worker's check to that power. That isn't opinion, it is a historical fact, proven time and time again.

What does filing a 1099 have to do with health care?

As part of "ObamaCare" credit card companies are now allowed to charge businesses $99 to file a 1099. Not only is paying the credit card companies $99 fee is a financial burden for us small business people, the filing of 1099s for all of my supplies a hugh clerical burden!

You know what bothers me most when Thom remarks to his surprise something he finds admirable of Reagan or Nixon in hindsight? What bothers me most is that we are trending down... how many years and how bad will the administration at the time be when Thom looks back and reflects on something upon retrospect makes Bush seem admirable.

Face it, Nixon and Reagan etc... went only as far as they believed they could, and then they played the part they believed they were expected to.

Feels like we're being dragged down into a vortex, or stuck in a tarpit... reflecting on how nice it was when we were only up to our knees.

A vote will occur TODAY to extend the "PATRIOT" Act another year, and it will pass easily unless you and I take immediate action.

Congress is once again trying to sneak through an attack on our rights by reauthorizing the so-called "PATRIOT" Act with as little debate and scrutiny as possible.

No amendments will be allowed, and debate will be limited to 40 minutes.

War is a horror and a far cry from any form of intelligence. War burns up everything in its path including the atmosphere too our very breath. Science making all these dangerous war toys for big profits and power. Selling them to our little children in Washington. Notice how we are always trying to improve things so we can stand guard of ownership. (Supervise, prevent, and forbid)

These mad dangerous toys suck up our real wealth from the physical world and turn it to polluted garage. Its absolute madness ! Science always thinks We can fix it later. Like Experimentation on citizens without their consent. Don't worry ! We can fix it ! (Just more profits) See your Doctor!

. I guess they think they will are the only one's on this planet .No one else is aloud to come aboard. (Conditions Toxic) Perhaps their greed will bring a end to come without them even knowing it .The future generations. What's it all for in the end ? A toxic dump. Little minds never learn to share, and always leave it to someone else to clean it up mess. And who is that? ( We can fix it)

  • Why the Media isn't Talking about the War...   14 years 20 weeks ago

If the war were going well, it would be in the news. The news is a corporate function now, this is an indication that the news would have a bad impact on the 2012 elections if it were reported. Bad news would be bad for either poltical party, neither wants to make the argument for spending more money or lives there. Neither wants to claim this massive political betrayal of American principles (lies, torture and cover-ups) and neither wants to prosecute the real war criminals who engaged in these illegal acts.

The war is not popular but pulling out will only be harder if we keep talking about it. The fact that we are not winning, as a matter of fact Afghanistan has increased their ties to Russia, is not going to make it easier for America to pull the plug and save face. The fact is, we cannot afford these wars and never could. We must pull out, we will withdraw with a whimper.

America is broke and we must cut all the unnecessary expenses. These wars are not essiential to our national secuity and never were. If we are not careful, the people wil be rising up and kicking us out like Tunsia, Egypt and all the other countries that have been torturing people for the U.S.

America has followed the Republicans down the wrong path one time too many. These policies of tyranny, both domestically and internationally, have been disasterous for a "free" country that proclaims itself to be "of the people, by the people and for the people".

The joke that 'our budget is balanced IF you don't count the war' has finally dropped it's punchline on our heads of state.

America's 'New World Order' (the Corporatist purchasing of the U.S. government) is backfiring on both the corporations that are paying the campaign bills and the politicians that sold out. The politicians spent the U.S. treasury on corporate foreign policy interests that are not paying off.

America's lack of integrity has been exposed to the entire world, at home and abroad. We have not lived up to our declared moral values and we have been using the national credit in a way that every person who has gone bankrupt recognizes as 'the last stage', when one is just paying bills day-to-day and praying for a miracle or a windfall of some kind. Something that does not happen and you end up wishing you had just admitted insolvency earlier.

"The war" is just a small part of the decline of the United States that we have allowed these politicians to lead us into. If the people don't wake up and dump BOTH of these Corporatist political parties, the country will never recover it's reputation. Right now we are facing a decision the politicians and corporate media will not talk about. We the people, do NOT have to go down with these losers. We can choose a different path, a path where we admit to the world the error of our ways and we restructure our government, bringing America back to it's original values of individual freedom and justice. Back to a country where the government works for the people, rather than dictating to the people for the corporations and we mind our own business rather than trying to be the boss of all the other governments through corporate investment.

Nothing built on lies ends well.

Last chance America, make a clean break from these Corporatist criminals or be doomed to crumbling from within...

  • The Taliban is running a shadow government in Afghanistan   14 years 20 weeks ago

coincidence or not rumsfeld was interviewed on msm tonight and was totally unapologetic about either theater of operation. bush could not go to switzerland lest he be indicted, it goes without saying that all of the personnel should be brought home and the whole middle east policy should be reviewed.

  • The Taliban is running a shadow government in Afghanistan   14 years 20 weeks ago

I 100% agree that we need to get the troops out of Afghanistan. But to label the Taliban as "more moderate" than Al Qaeda, is similar to labeling a river as wetter than a lake. You'll get just as wet regardless of which one you fall into!

  • The Taliban is running a shadow government in Afghanistan   14 years 20 weeks ago

    Words matter.

The mainstream media should refer to the Taliban as the "Afghanistan Taliban" which they are. When we talk about our side, the MSM uses the words "Afghanistan military" or the "US military." A more descriptive word for the U.S. military would be the foreign military in Afghanistan.

Even the most fervent supporters of removing foreign troupes from Afghanistan don't refer to the Taliban as Afghanis.

If you argue that the Taliban has warriors in it that are not Afghan then you would have to ask the questiion. Are all of the U.S. troops U.S. citizens?

    My thoughts

  • The Taliban is running a shadow government in Afghanistan   14 years 20 weeks ago

"Bring The Troops Home Now " should become a national mantra with a ribbon. The marketing and branding for support of the war in Afghanistan should now be used to end it. Know your enemy ! In the case for the Taliban and Al Qaeda they did that very well. They knew us all to well. I remember a Catholic Priest being interviewed by CNN when Bush started the bombing in Afghanistan. The priest

had worked with the local people for a number of years. During the interview he commented that the US was merely swatting mosquitoes with a sledge hammer. Every widow,

orphan, amputee, scared, and broken hearted in Afghanistan will remember us as perpetrators.

Here is a paragraph from the article, Ruins of Reagan's Legacy.

We must rebuild progressive and liberal institutions and ideology. We have to start at the beginning. It’s going to take decades of hard, difficult struggle. It will be like moving into a new house and discovering the foundation cracked and the infrastructure infested with termites. We have to tear down with a new vision of what we will build up. The vision of what will be cannot emerge from the cobwebs of that which has been. We need new vision, new perspective, and new ways of imagining. And this will require new leadership.

  • The Taliban is running a shadow government in Afghanistan   14 years 20 weeks ago

Anyone who knows anything about Afghanistan should know this. I am a suburban mom in So. Cal. who simply cares about the people of Afghanistan so I have read and studied a bit about it. I would hope at least President Obama would have appreciated the nuances of handling the differences between the Taliban and Al Qaeda. However, I believe that the majority of Americans have no idea what the difference between the two is; who they really are and what they each stand for.

    Seeds of Fire

I was listening to Lou Dobbs on CNN (6-20-06). On his show he had three talk show hosts from different parts of the USA. These men are radio hosts. One of the radio hosts kept saying that Clinton gave away nuclear secrets. Clinton may have given away nuclear secrets?

Gordon Thomas who wrote the book, SEEDS OF FIRE, said that highly sensitive and nuclear secrets were first given away by Reagan. These sensitive nuclear secrets were given to China. George H. W. Bush followed by also giving away nuclear secrets to China.

The USA was in the Cold War with Russia and these secrets were given to China in order to neutralize Russia. The USA created a giant in China.

In the book, SEEDS OF FIRE, you can read more of the specifics. The specifics are toward the end of the book. I do not remember the specific pages but I recall that the pages may have been page 260 and higher?

I mention this information because Americans crave truthful information. I believe that Americans who have the truth will make the right decisions. Throughout American History our political leaders never had the faith to trust in the American people. We have gone into a number of wars by the lies of our political leaders. If Americans are to die, they should at least die knowing the truth.

    February 7, 2011

I had an opportunity to watch a disc with three issues – The End of Liberty, Melt-up Money Economics, and The Dollar Bubble. Here are highlighted words from my notes.

    The End of Liberty

Big brother is watching you. We are no longer a free nation. We are slaves to a criminal monetary system. Our currency is worthless. “We cannot steal because our federal government does want competition.” Americans are living in a terrorist nation. Our government is destroying the small farmers. I believe that 9-11 was a CIA operation in order to enslave Americans. Hyperinflation will make food costs rise. The FDA is embedded with transnational corporations. It is now a crime to film police brutality against Americans. The Federal Reserve is a criminal enterprise. The United States of Mortal Sin is on the verge of collapse. The purchase of food over a certain amount will require Americans to fill out a 1099 form starting in January 1, 2012. The inflation rate is five percent or higher. Foreigners control ten trillion dollars of our debt.

    Melt-up Money Economics (Hyperinflation)

Seventeen percent of Americans are unemployed and this percentage will grow even higher. Forty million people live on food stamps and this number will grow even higher. China props up the phony American standard of living. America is on her knees from debt through our ongoing wars. America will never be able to pay out her debt. The rich need to pay more in taxes. Our government understates inflation. Currently, inflation is about 6.3 percent. California will need to be bail out by our federal government. Senior citizens cannot afford to retire. The United States economy is a total mess. Interest rates will rise to ten percent by 2014. America will never have a balanced budget. We have not been a free market country for several decades. A college education is worthless because there are no jobs for students graduating from college. Inflation is destroying family values. Americans MUST BECOME more aware of their economy.

    The Dollar Bubble

The American middle class is being eliminated. In ten years our deficit will rise to twenty-three trillion dollars. The dollar will collapse. Our federal government is printing counterfeit money for its citizens. Bernanke is doing a terrible job. We need to return to a nation of producers and not be a nation of consumers. How can people save money on slave salaries and slave wages? Our federal government seeks to eliminate the minimum wage. The interest payment on a twenty-three trillion dollar deficit is one trillion dollars per year. CHINA WILL LET THE AMERICAN DOLLAR COLLAPSE!!!

Here is the last sentence from Paul Craig Roberts most recent article.

“When it comes to waste and corruption, lies and deception, the U.S. government has no equal.”
