I just love my Country, the Constitution, our voting previliges and intelligent discourse. And as to your last post I do not believe that the discouse is going to be anywhere near Intelligent. So this is it. And unless my short term memory also ceases to function, no more discourse.
Amen to that! But the danger is the vile and vicious Propaganda coming from the Right and the 30-40 Million people it infests and lies to. Pre 1980 we in America had a decent political discourse which was "Fair And Balanced". There just was not anything like this demented gibberish coming from right-wing media - the reason being that the people usually got to listen to "Both" sides of any argument. But in 1985 and after, the FCC has pretty much ignored the "Fairness Doctrine" which has given rise to the now gigantic propagnada media conglomerates like Fox Noise" and Right-Wing Radio. If you Listen to these Media outlets you certainly do not get "2 sides" of any argument - you get Propaganda that favors The Right and Coporate interests; And lies and distortions. No one to counter the argument. So Rush Limbaugh and his ilk can rant and rave 24/7 with no counter-argument! Pure propaganda and nonsense reaching the ears and minds of 30-40 Million Americans as if this rant were fact and true!
And so now Fox owner Rupert Murdoch and his corporate buddies are in Europe trying to buy and consolidate most of the Media outlets available there so as to propagate this vile propaganda there also!

You are absolutely correct. The Republican Party does not want, nor have they ever wanted any kind of a Democracy where the common person or especially the poor have any kind of a voice in anything in government. They have always been and always will be against any kind of a social program that benefits the middle class or the poor. This is exactly what the people of Egypt are fighting against. A Republican idea of small government, a dictator, and the poor are lucky to get any table scraps from their table. This new Republican Party does not belong in this country!! I vote for repeal of the present Republican Party for one that used to work with the Democratic Party and made some semblance of common sense. Not the crazies we have today!!
Well there is one word for this - Treason! The slave owners of the South tried this pre-1860. Result - Civil War.

Read a bit of history and inform yourselves as to what happens to movements that challenged Democratic Governments and want to replace with one party rule - They lost! Germany of the 1930s is one prime example of this. A Democratic nation wanted to purify itself against what they also saw as a "deteriorate" and "infestation” of their way of life. History DOES have something to teach so as to avoid the proverbial “History Repeats Itself” for those who chose not to heed it!

Absolutely I would sleep with him for $350,000.00, provided I was paid upfront, and here's why:
Over the course of my life I've been screwed by nearly every corporation for whom I've worked. I've been screwed by nearly every President that's been in office. I've been screwed by every Congress that's been in session. I've been screwed by State agencies, utility companies, energy companies and my news media. I've been screwed so long and so hard I no longer even NOTICE now, when I'm being screwed.
It would be positively REFRESHING to find myself with a check in hand after being screwed because that, dear Thom, is never how my screw sessions ever end.
