Hey Thom, did you get a chance to hear the Stephanie Millers show this morning? Her substitute had on a columnist who wrote a story on the Boy Buggering Pashtuns? How rampant and accepted it is in Afghanistan. Apparently Frontline covered this story too. Any thoughts on that?
Apparently you can do a search for "Dancing Boys" on You Tube and see dance parties in which old men in Afghanistan are putting these young boys on display with the intention of taking them home for intimate relations. Raping young boys, and our military is basically just looking the other way. What the hell are we doing (not doing) in Afghanistan?

Hey Thom! Chris from PDX here. I've been insisting since Bushies election that the failure of the Bushies to respond to the Khobar Towers and the Cole bombings were derelictions of Presidential Duty and were impeachable offenses before 9/11. I read somewhere that they had recieved "actionable intelligence" (maybe from Clarks book) before Bushies election that clearly showed Bin Ladens role in those two "acts of War against the homeland" and the proper response was ignored. I think that Bushs' deer in the headlights reaction in Florida to the info of the attacks are proof that he had heard something was going to happen but the enormity of the acts overwhelmed him with guilt which caused his seeming reptile paralization and then he ran and hid like the chickenshit chickenhawk Moscowitz identified.

Actually, companies are taking health care reform seriously because of the penalties involved. My company is a consulting firm and health care consulting is what we do (not my location, but most of our other locations). Lots has to change, both with health care reform and mental health parity, and companies are trying to change their benefits to be compliant. Maybe it's mostly with mental health parity, but I read or skim the constant updates the company puts out about things like increasing the age of insured kids, although I didn't think it was 26. i guess I should pay more attention. There's so much that's unknown still.
Not only did Bush allow 9/11 to happen, He was directly involved in destroying the economy to give rich more money and to help republicans regain the power they knew was going to be lost.
The Bush tax cuts are just another economic missle launched to deliberetly expire at this election to make it look like the Democrats are raising taxes again and cause division among the dems.
The economy is so hollow that any stimulus spending will cause near immediate results (2011-12). The tax credits may help in the longer term if they are not just used to create factories elsewhere or used like BP did to create the factory here and then ship it to China.
The real problem with this stimulus in regard to the mid-terms is this: It is not significant financial reform. It is not the restoration of Glass-Steagal and the speculation continues. It is not addressing the too big to fail problem: Total and individual real estate equity has plummeted since 2007 while the banksters' real estate equity has held constant.
Everyone has seen the banks get $700 billion in TARP and there is the $2,000,000,000,000 (yes, 2 Trillion!) released by the Fed to banks at essentially zero interest and zero transparency back in the Bush administration. Many people thought that the election of Obama and an increased Democratic majority signalled that it was their turn to get help. Obama and the Dems have a big uphill climb - life would be easier for them now if they had at least pursued significant financial reform or pursued significant mortgage relief or pursued energy independence or stopped the permanent war or ....

David Cantrell: The advantages would be that they would create more jobs than there are people to fill them, eliminate air polution, and completely revive our economy. – I am not aware of any statistics or estimates on how many jobs would be created so if you have some I would be interested in seeing them. I tend to think that this line of thinking is similar to Bastiat’s “Broken Window Fallacy”. Obviously eliminating our need for fossil fuels is a good thing, but unfortunately there are problems with hydrogen that need to be addressed before it becomes viable on a large scale. The energy needed to produce the hydrogen has to come from somewhere. In the near term that probably means an increase in coal consumption to produce the additional power to produce the hydrogen. Hydrogen while plentiful, is not cheap to produce. As increases in technology become more viable and as oil becomes more expensive the market will move away from oil to the best alternative, hydrogen or otherwise.
David Cantrell: If private industry won't do it, then the government should build a manufacturing plant and show private industry how it is done (Remember how fast this country built airplanes for World War 2, and they started from nothing). – Its not that private industry can’t do it, the issue is that there is no profit in doing it. It would require massive subsidies. The WWII reference proves my point. Boeing was competing for (and won) the contracts against Douglas and Martin to produce the B-17, which replaced the Martin B-10. We had planes, we even had warplanes, but up to that point there was not the need for large scale numbers of them. When the need was there, industry responded.

The Demise of the United States of America
This is another doctrine in sharing with you. I share this doctrine with a heavy heart. I will be discussing the demise of my country. There are probably hundreds of reasons for our death but I will give some of my reasons.
Through the centuries civilizations and empires have risen and fallen. I will be discussing the death of the United States of Hell. History does repeat itself. Historians often look to the Roman Empire and I will be no different.
The Roman Empire fell for a variety reasons, such as lead poisoning through their use of lead pots and pans, the possible rise of Christianity, the hiring of mercenaries to fight their endless wars, and the slaves to do the domestic work.
Let us look closely at the demise of the United States of Mortal Sin. Our death is similar and yet very complex because our death occurs in the twenty-first century. The twenty-first century was supposedly more advanced and yet it was probably less advanced in terms of humanitarian reasons.
We can look at our deregulations of the environment that is killing off life from animal to human life. It is the United States of Hell’s fall from Christianity that has also aided in our demise. We turned our backs on Jesus Christ and accepted false prophets. These false prophets in our religions are clinging to the eight pillars for its strength. These eight pillars are hatred, murders, torture, war crimes, corruption, decadence, greed, and lies. These eight pillars will gradually destroy the mind, body, and souls of our citizens and our nation as a whole. We also hired mercenaries to fight our endless wars because the goose-stepping elitists have systematically killed off our children. We have also destroyed our middle class and hired people at slave wages. Why should Americans have children when they are working for slaves wages? Greed and selfishness destroy the human soul. Less Americans mean more foreigners in our country. Stupidity is the trademark for the elitists. The hording of money will also cause our demise. American corporations have also been instrumentally involved with our goose-stepping government by destroying the middle class with outsourcing our jobs and the hiring foreigners for less money. American lives have diminished steadily for decades.
Average Americans have developed a sense of hopelessness from our children to our adults. Our citizens and politicians have preferred screwing around and not parenting. Our teenagers are a great resource for us because they are into fairness and idealism. Fairness is not just for themselves but also for their friends and other people. They are also idealistic because they believe in a better world. Our country cannot be a role model for other countries because we have demoralized our people to the point that hopelessness and fear are rampant in our nation and among our people. We are already wallowing in the abyss of hell.
Goose-stepping Americans have a unique way of behavior toward people whom we consider different. We are great at stigmatizing people by bias, distrust, stereotyping, fear, embarrassment, anger, and/or avoidance.
Our evil and immoral ways have brought to us what we deserve our demise as a nation. People usually get what they deserve and goose-stepping Americans deserve death.
What Americans have failed to understand as we head toward our demise are demographical patterns. By the start of the twenty-second century America will primarily Muslim and its religion will be Islam. The Qur’an will be in most American homes. The burning of the Qur’an by fanatics will not hold off the inevitability of our nation being a Muslim and Islamic nation by 2100 or even sooner.
Clinging to the disease of hatred, corruption, and lies will aid the demise of our country. The United States of Satan’s Disciples is currently on life support. We are dying a slow death through our own making. Hell awaits America and Americans.
What I love about America is our transparency!
I honestly think that the health care industry as a whole got way too greedy. Parts of President Obama's plan are never going to be used, especially the insuring kids till they are 26 part. That is simply not happening.
