Another thing, Reid and the Democratic Senators need to severly limit the filibuster rules. If they don't they are fools. They most likely won't

Do you get a copy of all the Republican BS that goes around in emails? I got one today that you might want to see. Just let me know! judithlee2@verizon.net. It's attacks how we all say that Obama took over in 2009 from a failed economy caused by Bush and the Republicans. This email says that the economy started failing in 2007 when the Democrats started being the majority in congress, and because of the actions they, the Democrats, took.
It starts off with a fake sacharine letter from a fake 63 year old businessman turning down his fake college student granddaughter's request for money, because, due to Obama, they no longer have money. It's a real tear jerker. Or a vomit jerker, depending on your POV.

Apparently you missed President Obama's plans to go on the road to "Sell" this plan of cutting everyone's social programs, while taxing the rich a smidge. Wall Street is slavering to serve grandma catfood while giving Pandit another $15.4 million for dragging Citi's stock value down about 88%.
I guess we're supposed to pay for that among other WS spending sprees. The Gilded Age returneth.
Apparently, NO ONE got the message that most of the population, including republcians want their SS, Medicare and Medicaid. Not too surprised that Obama is already throwing his base under the bus before he loses his ideal congress

Obama has his 21-point plan already in the mail and it is SWEET!! Music to our ears!! Obama's win will not stop the New Right of Paul Weyrich and their Theocracy/Oligarchy attempt to overthrow Democracy; but, we will have 2 years to get ready to rid our states of as many ALEC members as possible. Then, hopefully, the Real old-fashioned Republicans can fight to regain their platform/laws and we can return to normal. Unfortunately, we continue to deceive the average republican that their leaders are republicans, lol. One day - soon, we hope - they will understand that their party is gone - having been takenover by these jackels called "The New Right" of Paul Weyrich!!
The Tea Party Republicans are an unstable group. I expect them to attempt to sabotage any efforts on the part of the Republican leaders to work with the Democratic Party. The Tea Party leaders are more like terrorists or anarchists than patriots. They would prefer to see the nation collapse financially than to compromise to move forward. I hope that John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will find a way to keep them in check for no other reason than the survival of the union. The Tea Party folks remind me a bit of the people who formed the Conferderacy, they would rather stand alone than support the unity of the nation. They seem to not want the majority to rule. And they are a nasty bunch. It is as if they believe they are the only people who know anything. I have challenged those I have met to explain to me their understanding of the freedoms protected under the United States Constitution. The only clause that means anything to them is the 2nd and 10th amendment. What a bunch of uninformed citizens.
Well Kend if you don't know what Pres. Obama's plans are, you haven't been paying attention.
Wheather or not he'll hang tough is a question worth asking though.

The Republicans are going to go only with the tax breaks for the rich as they know it will not help the country hardly at all and make Qbama look bad. That liitle bit of money doesn't even scratch the surface of the debt problem, but its better than nothing. After that what is Obama's plan? Does any body know?
Maybe tax the dead? Tax children? Tax pets? Every American is in debt $51,000 and if you live in New York add $16,000 to that. Greece only owes $39,000 per person and know one will lend them money. How long befroe the Chinese say no more to the US, then what? Food stamps for the Government?

In exchange for Obama's preserving the tax cuts for the rich, the rePubes will allow the poor to live. It was the best deal the President could get.

The only "movement" that will make a real difference is when people move into the streets, banks, government buildings, stores and make their discontent known....like Occupy Wall Street did..but amplified thousands of times.
Any other "movements" involving donating more money..buying and reading yet another author's best seller..attending feel-good cumbaya "movement" parties..etc will only delay the inevitable and, really, accomplish nothing in the end except to make a few "movement" leaders a little wealthier.
And all of this rallying...for what?...to elect more criminal politicians who will, themselves, play us for their useful idiots as well.
You are still trying to rely on the corrupt political system that is owned by the uber wealthy. They may give you an inch but they will steal many miles. Our history has shown that we didn't really change the evil and corrupt political systems of the past by just going to the ballot box and trying to convince other people to use that as the sole means by which to change things. They had "movements" alright and those "movements" were violent ones and with out them nothing would have changed.
When people are backed into the corner and struggling to survive...voting for yet another crooked politician is the least of their choices. You wait and see how much we are all paying in the supermarkets and what we soon will be paying. We'll all be struggling to survive and ripping each others throats out for crumbs of bread.
(I heard, in the news today, that yet another on-line "charity" was found to be scamming the people who donated. They're everywhere..using all kinds of gimmicks to cheat people.)

The whole country is already bankrupt because of the criminal deeds of arrogant greedsters at the top of the economic dung heap...the ones who have been shipping our jobs overseas...the ones who turned our economy from a manufacturing one to a Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE) one...to a reckless gambling with the savings of other people's money one. There's no law and order anymore...the gangsters are running the country. And those who praise themselves for deserving the lion's share of the country's resources (because they are smarter and harder working than everyone else?...total bulls..t!!!) are morally bankrupt and are deceiving only themselves.
I bet Mubarak, Ghadafi, and al-Assad all thought they were most deserving of their lofty status as well. Mubarak wound up in a small cage where he was urinated on, Ghadafi was beaten to a bloody pulp, and al-Assad is very worried that he may suffer the same kind of fate. Arrogant pigs in the US may also, one day, wish they had been a little less piggish.
And how do you do that when so many of those administrators, politicians, and other fiduciaries, charities are stealing behind our backs? Got to clean the toilets sometime or they start to stink! We need to clean up (ie: investigate, prosecute, and convict some of these scumbags) so that they don't continue stealing everything.
I just watched an expose of yet another so-called "charity" that was a scam pretending to supply our wounded veterans with various goods. Turned out that the people running that "charity" were taking in the donations, jacking up the claimed value, and getting millions of dollars from the government...with the veterans getting very little. There are plenty of maggots out there running scams that need to be cut off and prosecuted before we can hope to really make a difference to worthy projects. The US has become a relatively lawless and ruthless place to be...let alone trust that your donations or taxes will actually go to worthy causes. If we don't crack down of these criminals first, it would be like trying to fill a bucket with water when it had lots of holes in the bottom. We need to plug up the holes first!
Wasting tax dollars on ridiculous investigations isn't prudent. As a Californian, I'm insulted that he would use our tax dollars for anything other than helping our state and our country to get more people back to work, and getting good teachers into schools - where each child is well-fed and ready to learn what they need to know, to grow into a decent adult with a reasonable chance to live a life without poverty.
