If Corporations want personhood so bad, give it to them, including the right to be put in prison, including ALL officers and boardmembers. Rather than letting them get off with fines, even where deaths have occurred. If crimes are committed, let 'em rot in jail.
Maybe we could get Texas to execute Mitt? But seriously, I've wondered if the way that corporate charters have mandated that their #1 priority is to their shareholders and to make a profit isn't a part of why there is so much greed. Apart from just plain greedy people. Couple that with Corporate personhood and money is speech and you;ve got a nuke ready to detonate.
Death penalty.......let's start with Halliburton, "this person" not only committed murder but also tried to cover up the evidence.
Mitt's greedy rampage has caused a tremendous amount of misery for large numbers of honest and hard working citizens..... he certainly killed off the American Dream for many.

Mitt Romney is a murderer. Corporations are not people my friend. Corporations are businesses that operate under rules established by people. If corporations are people they would not only be born, they would have a life span and someday die. I suggest changing the law so that corporations must dissolve after twenty years; not change names and assets, but dissolve completely. Twenty years is a good long life for a corporation.

Steven Colbert may be attacking Mitt Romney as a killer of people (corporations) as a kind of joke but if one looks into how many real people may have died as a result of Mitt Romney's destruction of people's livelyhoods then he may actually be responsible for having killed real people. How many people got sick and died because they didn't have access to timely medical care because they couldn't afford it after being laid off? I guess they were just "collateral damage" in Romney's war of economic pillage and plunder. In America, they used misnomers like "heroes", "bravery", and "sacrifice" to describe our military who has committed criminal wholesale murder in countries we illegally invaded and occupied. And we use euphemisms like "collateral damage" to cover our criminal and negligent trashing of civilians. So these well-to-do snotty brats, many born with a silver-spoons, and other greedy maggots who stole and cheated their way up, can get away with acting out in the same manner when they trash American lives who were not born to such high and respectable positions as they were. We're all trailer trash to them and they really don't want us to share in the economic well being of this world. In fact, I believe that there is a secret program to depopulate the world by these ruling elite. That freaked out guy on Art Bell all those years ago, during which the satellite went dead knocking them off the air for 20 minutes, may have really been on to something. I mean, really, who has the power to knock out a satellite when they want to disrupt something they don't want people to hear?

If Corporations are people with free speech, even if it isn't mentioned in the Constitution, then can't one also say the same of Unions? Why is the GOP wrapped up in the protection of for profit corporations, yet ready to silence the freedoms for unions? Are unions less of a person?

No. They won't.
Your relationship to an insurance is a membership, like being member of a club. As membership fees aren't taxes, if you're a club member.
We are not as bad as many countries in Africa and Asia, but America is underdeveloped, flat-out uncivilized in quite some points. And we have to change that. The idea everybody cares for themselves is savage attitude. We have to change that. Sooner or later, the change will come -- whether you like it or not. These days America's majority is managing to overcome homophobia and this anti-social libertarian attitude will go away too. It will get better as time goes by.....
European countries like Sweden and Germany are social democracies. People over there are as free as we are here in America. On the contrary, the police isn't cracking down on protesters as hard as here. The German police did this during the 60s, 70s and 80s -- so you really see how behind we are. Our violently savaging cops would lose their jobs in Europe at once.
Europeans don't live in fear to starve or die in the cold, if they lose their jobs, because their social security prevents this.

I love that Colbert SuperPAC used John Lithgow in their ad. His reading of Newt Gingrich's press release several months ago was great.
I just hope my Democratic elected officials hang tight and vote against this bill. It's not less taxes that are needed. It's fair trade and tariff's that are needed. This is Obama (again) designing business for the Koch brothers.

Punks and skins aren't always easy to distinguish. There's not only a gray area, partly they downright interchange -- skins become punks, punks become skins (shuttle migration). During the 1920s it was the same in Germany: The communist Thaelmann radicals and the nazi groups even killed each other in the streets. And there also were cases of shuttle migration.
These days we sometimes have the same problems with occupiers and teapartiers. Sometimes you really can't tell: Is this a left-wing occupier or a right-wing teapartier? Ron Paul's followers suddenly call themselves "progressives". And they often talk weird, chaotic, radical phrases. You see this here on Thom's blog: they seem to swarm everywhere, because they're so radical.
Wasn't Gingrich once kinda friends with our Nancy Peloci? He must have been pretty much pro social security at that time. Perry, as I recall, began his political career as Democrat anyway. So they both are able to switch back to the left. John Boehner pretty much got along with President Obama -- I heard the word "friends" here too. These men are qualified to adjust at any time, for they kinda have bipartisan options in their political DNA.
