The "NO!" votes are probably just Mitt Romney voting multiple times

Aaaaaah, I can't type my guts out here -- other things to do. I took out the part against you, now the old comment moved down, Palindromedary.

Dammit, I say Ron Paul is a threat on the poor. Is that so difficult to understand? Obama won't starve if Paul rules America. Never heard about our middle-class dying?

How about listening to Norman Goldman? He takes a lot on the Democrats, but even he says: You can't say Dems and Reps are the same evil. Maybe someone here listenes to much to FoxNews?

Excuse the "democratic" typo above, I just washed my hands and can't do a thing with them!

Re: Obama; actions speak louder than words.

    To quote from David Sirota:

To review the basic Paul profile: When it comes to government social spending and regulation, Paul is more antithetical to progressive goals than any candidate running for the White House. This is indisputable. At the same time, though, when it comes to war, surveillance, police power, bank bailouts, cutting the defense budget, eliminating corporate welfare and civil liberties, Paul is more in line with progressive goals than any candidate running in 2012 (or almost any Democrat who has held a federal office in the last 30 years). This, too, is indisputable.

Okay, I'll help ya, MaryMary: Obama accomplished...........

    Healthcare ("Obamacare"? Yeah, Obama cares!)

Abolition "Don't Ask Don't Tell" (of course necessary!)

Dealing with the situation after the 2008 crash (caused by Bush, but brilliantly managed by Obama!)

Watering down upcoming Depression via Stimulus Package (where were we no if this hadn't happened?)

Maybe a little too brief... wanna hear more details? I mean he was struggling with opposition a lot. Ya know: "Obama's gonna kill our grandmothers!" (which crazy Ron Paul will finally do, if he should be President!). And many foolish American's believed that nonsense.

Remember 2010? Flip-flopping voters took away the House. Since then we're dealing with gridlock. Maybe you LOVE gridlock..... wanna have more gridlock after 2012.... Yeah! Vote for GOP, or for independents -- in case you love gridlock, filibustering, no motion in America. Let's vote ourselves to 3rd world standard..... That's what you want?

HOMELAND SECURITY GIVEN GREEN LIGHT TO MONITOR AMERICAN JOURNALISTS

Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that emerged from the Department of Homeland Security in November, Washington has writtenpermission to collect and retain personal information from journalists, news anchors, reporters or anyone who uses “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/homeland-security-monitoring-journalists/

So, are journalist now considered terrorist?

Hmmm, I wonder if Tom is on the list? But then again, you will never know! He will just disapear...

That's right! Obama is not really a Progressive or Liberal nor anything we thought he was when we voted for him the first time. No good reason to vote for him this time! He was a two timer and will not be a two term President by my vote. He may have fooled a lot of people again...and those people deserve what they get. Don't count on Social Security being one of them. Obama has tried to destroy Social Security because he is really owned by Wall Street. At least with Ron Paul, if we can believe his campaign schtick or rhetoric we would be seriously working to stop the wasteful military spending and subsequent murdering innocent people around the world. It's nice to hear what you want to hear but is much nicer to see the results. We heard what we wanted to hear from Obama before he was elected but he either wimped out or he outright sold us out after he was elected. Would Ron Paul do the same? Probably!

Regarding the attacks on Romney by Newt's supporter, I've got two thoughts:

    1. "Follow the money."

    2. Adelson's connection to the Mafia.

Clarissa, Can you elaborate on why you think that Ron Paul guys are a threat to the Progressives? I understand why Ron Paul would be a threat to Obama and the Deomocratic establishment.

CS: No, I don't have a basement full of machine guns! I don't have a basement...nor machine guns. I'm no "lone nut" nor willing to die a martyr. It takes a massive uprising to put down a criminal and corrupt system.

And as for Japan...for what they did in China....and Pearl Harbor...I am glad we kicked the cr^p out of them but the FDR administration did a 911 on the American people and willingly sacrificed a couple of thousand sitting duck servicemen and civilians in Hawaii. They further went on to put the blame on a couple of honorable men who were set up to take the blame for the Pearl Harbor attack. The US might have had a case for war when the USS Panay was sunk near Nanking. An almost repeat situation happened when Israel "mistakenly"...yeah right...didn't see the American flags then either...yeah right...attacked the USS Liberty in 1967. It took a war to fix a democracy-gone-awry in Nazi Germany so why do you think our current corrupt system has any hope? The ruling elite is like Adolph Hitler. They are obviously all out for world conquest and mass murder. They use the corrupt election system, the Republican and Democrat fakirs, as puppet dictators.

I agree that there are characteristics of Ron Paul that are extremely distasteful and he is also a puppet for the ruling elite. I would be truly ticked off if they mess with social security or other social programs.

But it looks like Obama is out to destroy Social Security as well. Obamacare was just a givaway to the HealthScare industry and will force people to pay lots of their savings to a corrupt insurance scam. So, in that respect, why vote for Obama? Is he really the least "evil" we have "? ...no other choice" in voting for? Or is someone like Ron Paul? At least Ron Paul says we are over-extended militarily...but then that is just what "he says".

These are all politicians who are saying what they think potential voters want to hear. What they will actually do when they get into office is another matter. They will all tow the line for the gestapo ruling elite. So why even vote? Why continue the charade that we have a democracy? The only thing that keeps these charades in check is when the people get so outraged that they stop voting and start actively rebelling! If you vote...you are just playing their game and you are being played the fool...the sucker who clings to false hope that things will change for the better.

But I just think that if Ron Paul was part of the Presidential debates with Obama, he would not let Obama or any other participant get away with avoiding the really important issues. I think Obama would wipe the floor with any of the other Republican candidates but he would not be able to get off so easily if he were debating Ron Paul.

Oh, and "elections" gave Hitler his political career too. And people in Germany, at the time, were easily led to supporting their democratic system. They too were easily wooed into believing in the "terrorists" of their times as well. They too were easily psyched out of their freedoms for what they believed was for their security. They too had their "homeland security" special renditioning people and taking them to prison camps and tortured and killed too.

The technology at the time was Zyklon B and huge ovens and big pits....the US now uses stealthy flying drones and computer guided death from the air..... controlled from some remote outpost that could be on the other side of the world...even in the US.

We've got high tech helicopter gunships that can work in tandem with other helicopter gunships that can wipe out anyone trying to hide behind buildings or other objects. We have high tech infra-red and computer assisted aiming devices that recognize bodies moving in the dead of night. Too bad they are not smart enough to distinguish between adult "enemy" and civilian children...not that it would matter much to these "brave warriors". It's like playing a video game and not much more risky for the players.

The world called it "genocide" or "holocaust" back in WWII but the US now calls it "collateral damage" when they wipe out civilians in the Middle East. The US just decentralized mass murder. And we have a President that is just having a ball presiding over it all. No wonder he has backed off of going after the war criminal Bush regime...he now has his own...and is now just as criminal and guilty of war crimes as well. I wonder if Washington will ever build a Holocaust museum for all of the millions of Iraqis and other Middle Eastern men, women, and children the US has managed to murder?

Either you're ruthless, or you don't even listen to Ron Paul. I heard and saw him say on-screen, he would do away with all public security. This is mass-murder! I'm not trying to convince you. I actually think, Thom Hartmann should cut you off -- on my blog you would be just banned. You're not discussing, you're campaigning for this dangerous Ron Paul.

I won't convince you ever. Just warn the rest..... You Ron Paul guys are a threat.

Here are many creepy commentators who have brains at least. You are creepy and you can't reason at all. You actually need basic education, before doing this here.....

Palindromedary, 1939??? Ha! FDR saw the war coming much earlier. The Japanese invasion was a huge problem already during the very early 30s. And it was impossible to keep out of the war! France got downright punished for being such extreme pacifists ("mourir pour Danzig? Non!"): the Germans just 'walked' in there with hardly resistance. This extreme pacifism is crazy and dangerous. England wasn't prepared as well. And I tell ya, this coalition of German Nazis, South European Fascists and Japan was a gigantic threat to us as well.

We actually were pacifists too after WWI. "You won't get our sons again, Uncle Sam!" As we were protesting occupiers, fighting unions -- we even had communists organizing life in some areas. Well, I love these left-wingy aspects of the 30s a lot, for I am a lefty, a democratic socialist. Whatever, I adore FDR for having awoken us gently. He saw his Americans needed help to find back to reality. And reality was a HUGE threat to the whole world. Hitler was so incredibly crazy.... his ideas were so devilish -- on the long run the Nazis and Fascist would have attacked us. And what would a Ron Paul society do then? With people struggling like in the 3rd World. Even done away with department of defense.... Go back to nursery, Palin-guy (your nickname is crazy and creepy too LOL) -- go to kindergarten! You should rather play with children, than deal with politics.

  • Are Republicans redistributing massive amounts of money to the top 1%?   13 years 28 weeks ago

Palindromedary, there are lots of progressives in the Democratic Party. The GOP is a bunch of fascists. You're dumping the baby with the bath water. Do you want to punish all Americans for having been such awful imperialists? We were imperialists indeed -- in this point you're right. But now I want us to be just reasonable.

My goal is education and I know this is Obama's goal. The GOP wants to keep Americans stupid. And we are dumb: we have very smart people, but a whole lot of foolish hicks. We need to adapt our average education level to the European continent (not U.K.!). And this is possible with Obama. You can't make progressive politics with a bunch of foolish hicks. Educated people tend more to progressive ideas and you should actually like this point.

You have no better solution. What do you wanna do? Start a violent revolt? I mean, you don't seem to go for democratic election. Do you think we shouldn't have elections at all? Do you already have machine guns in the basement? You really ARE creepy, although you have much more brains than Berry. And maybe this makes ya even creepier. A few days ago you already told me you're afraid they might send you to Guantanamo.... Because you're planing crazy things or what? Maybe I should expain to you why parlamentarism, voting, political institutions that control each other ect. is the only way to keep a society peaceful. You absolutely expect heaven on earth and if you can't get it, you rather have hell than reality. Political-manic disorder I'd call that flatout. Very, very dangerous. We have lots of crazy people indeed in the U.S. and this is dangerous. You can abuse them for attacking Iraq -- or just for crazy political ideas. Very, very creepy!

  • Are Republicans redistributing massive amounts of money to the top 1%?   13 years 28 weeks ago

Clarissa, usually you posts are thought out and intelligent. Obama had a huge majority in both houses for more than half his presidency. His only accomplishment was Obamacare. He's incompetent. A great president will accomplish much with a majority of the opposition party in the Congress. (i.e. Regan, Clinton, etc.)

The sooner the 99%ers learn more about how advanced and enlightened the european style of govt. is, the sooner the Romney and Rompublicans govt. style of...."crime state for the rich"....will end. I hope the occupy movement succeeds at this push for restoration of true representational govt. for all. We the 99% have no choice, it must succeed, or we face total economic feudal like submission to the likes of tyrants like Romney. We all need to become occupy patriots.... and fight on!
