Flip-Flopping or "the administration’s roller-coaster relationship with the business community."

A month later, he proposed a tax on the 50 biggest banks, declaring “we want our money back” from the 2008 bailout. Then, in what was interpreted as a 180-degree shift on bonuses, Obama told Bloomberg News in February 2010 that he doesn’t “begrudge people success or wealth. That is part of the free-market system.”

I'd say that Frisch sounded like and acted a lot like those guys on Fox Snooze today. Obama knows where the votes came from but he also knows where all his campaign money comes from and so it torn between both. But the bottom line is he will sell out the ones who is willing to be suckered the most and it obviously isn't going to be Wall Street. Obama, obviously, still has a few sucker voters out there that just can't seem to understand that their votes will just not matter....at all. It is a rigged and corrupt system and if you keep playing their game you will continue to be the ruling elite's b!tcsh.
I'm not overly optimistic about the Supreme Court reversing it's decision re Citizens United for some time. At least not until one or more of the right wing justices retires and hopefully is replaced by a more progressive justice who will side with the 4 who voted against this decision in 2010. More the reason to re-elect Obama.
Let 'em elect the "completely unelectable", go on with Obama, topple Walker, ergo take Wisconsin and take the House back too. Then start a major education offensive which finally makes the GOP unelectable forever. I think I have ideas how to keep big money completely out of campaigning for the future -- and ergo out of congress....
I like to see people fired too.... as long as they're Republicans, hahahaha!

Voters can change our country by coming out in huge numbers. Obama took on 2008 global crash / depression / TARP scam- the worst economy in 80 yrs- huge debt due to corp cuts- loopholes, long failed wars based on lies and war profits .In spite of that he saved auto industry - 1 mil jobs , got Bin laden & 20 top al quada...and created more jobs in 3 yrs than Bush did in 8. Bush admin failed badly. Bush even gave corp cuts to CO's that shipped good jobs overeas . US has lived under Reaganomics Bush 1-2 GOP wealth favoring toxic policies since 1981 Reagan deregulation of the ruling class ..Wall St / Banks / International corps. FED chairmen Robt Rubin SOmmers Alan Greenspan Hank Paulson Bernacki ALL came from Goldman Sachs They sure took care of their own and screwed taxpayers royal. Wall St banks must be broken up- too corrupt, greedy and powerful . No more anti US trade policies.. Bring back Glass Steagal End SS tax cap @ 107 K Top folks must pay a bit more as they did under Clinton when economy was humming. In 2000 Bush inherited a balanced. budget, a huge surplus and millions of new jobs. After 2000 jobs -wages tanked.
President Obama will be the winner in New Hampshire. None of the Republicans have a chance to do anything except embarrass themselves in the General Election in November. When you have to chose who is a winner, the only real winner is President Barack Obama and with his victory the American people win too! In the Republican party election there will be one candidate with more votes than any other Republican, however, these guys are losers.
It's hard and scary to belive clear channel/bane capital/mit romney did this to my ray of sanity comming from bay area, Green 960. Green 960 is no more and I can find no replacement. No more brunch in my car with burney is not acceptable to me. Any one have an idea how to get burney back? .... FCC, occupy clear channel, ect

Unfortunately as long as multi national can contribute to super pacs (chamber of commerce) foreign money will be part of us elections- remember bp is British petroleum. Shell is royal dutch shell. Can you say American Petroleum institue which has already threaten Obama if the pipeline to export Canadian oil to asia isn't built(keystone pipeline) with its 50 jobs

Yes, I know that Libertarians are bad when it comes to social security and the "free market" ie, no government oversight/involvement (including bail outs). The Democrats are pro war, pro Wall Street bail outs and anti civil liberties. If I have to make a choice, war & my civil liberties trump the other issues.

My favorite had always been Michelle Bachmann, for I considered her a sure thing. She would have no chance against Obama -- she would be absolutely helpless. Her crazy talk certainly would have entertained us a lot.
My number two is Rick Perry. I think he's not as crazy as Bachmann, but he is the clumsiest and naivest of all. I actually find him cute, even like him a bit. If he was just the hero of a western film, I might appreciate his films. But he can't be President of the United States. Like Herman Cain he's just a show talent. Bachmann just should make pies, or start some private business....
I see more and more the jester in Rumney. His talking is much more entertaining than I felt in the first place. At first I thought, "Oh my, he's dangerous, much smarter than all the other teabaggers!" But now I see he even has something jestery in his face. He could actually be court jester too. So if it's gonna be him..... He created millions of jobs..... on mars of course.... LOL

Well said. There is no question that the major Parties have done everything in their power to stack the deck against independents and will likely continue to do so until and unless voters realize that their rights are being usurped well before election day.
Ballot requirement vary significanly from State to State and is another area that needs a radical overhaul. Additionally, there are some pretty biased laws regarding exactly when independent or unaffiliated voters are allowed to vote in State Primaries. This is another way the duopolies try to limit the outcome to their brand. One citizen's organization that I am aware of that is working to correct these injustices is called Independent Voting, http://www.independentvoting.org/. They've had some success, but we as a 'democracy' still have a very long way to go.

I saw this shunning of the US dollar back in 2008, when I tried to change US dollars for Slovakian Koruna or even for the Euro (that Slovakia also used at the time). The teller at the Slovakian bank refused to do it...so I was stuck with US dollars in Slovakia that nobody wanted. Only a few merchants would reluctantly take the dollars.
I had also heard that even in India...at the Taj Mahal...they wouldn't accept US dollars.
As Michael Hudson pointed out in the interview...the US had been funding it's stupid wars and making other countries pay for it. They were stuck with lots of US dollars that they couldn't get rid of...they weren't allowed to buy assets in the US so they were just stuck with the dollars.
The US is fast becoming a pariah and a burned out cinder of a super power. We are going through the last gasps and death throes of power and influence in the world and becoming the laughing stock of rising empires...like China. The result will be continued and increasing high unemployment, higher prices for everything, and continued failed smaller banks that will be gobbled up by the big ones.
As Michael Hudson said...during the Savings and Loan scandals, thousands of people went to jail, but now in this much bigger scandal..no one is going to jail. Obama is part of the scandal that keeps these Wall Street and banking criminals from going to jail.
And you want to vote for Obama again?!! Right! May as well have a Republican.

No question we're becoming a nation of Independents but the notion that independents are waiting in the wings doesn't do justice to those running for office. As an example, in Arizona the laws are stacked against independents. In order to get on the ballot a candidate for the U.S. Senate, like me, must gather 6x more signatures than party candidates. 1/2 of 1% for a Republican, Democrat, etc. but 3% for an independent. The state is split almost evenly on registered voters, at roughly 1 million each for Republcan's, Independents and Democrats. How does that translate into numbers for signatures? About 5,000 each for the two major parties and 30,000 for an Independent candidate. Not exactly a straight deck for getting on the ballot. Add to this that party candidates receive voter registration records for free and Independents must pay 1 cent per record. It's a $32,000 fee to buy the full voter registration list in the state. Want to run as a Libertarian or a Green party member? Still a half percent and the signatures you need are roughly 125 and 25 respectively, based on registered party counts. So let's see: 30,000 signatures for an Independent and 25 for a Green party memember?
Sitting on the sidelines? Not exactly - but it's clear the two major parties have stacked the deck in their favor in order maintain their power base. It has little to do with representing the people or serving the people. It has everything to do with power and control.
I'd like to see Jon Huntsman win. He makes more sense than any of the other candidates!
Yeah, Romney wouldn't answer the question and attacked the moderator. I don't even remember what the question was but Romney stood out as someone who had something to hide...like his real position on the issue and it looked like he was about to explode. What a weasel! Ron Paul was the only one who seemed honest in his answers. All the others lost the debate, IMHO.
We have a two party system in the US...the Whacks and the Quacks. They are slimey little devils that will stab you in the back and certainly don't deserve our votes. And, they are all selfish and egotistical war criminals who don't really care at all for human life...other lives anyway.
The Rethuglicans pugnaciously claim that they are for saving the lives of human beings and are against abortion...but they have no problems sending other people's sons and daughters out to die in their stupid illegal and contrived wars. And they certainly don't care a whit about the lives of men, women, and children in those countries that they send our troops to to occupy. They don't care at all about bankrupting our country so that those dastardly oil companies can get their oil and then hold us all hostage to it. Anyone voting for Obama, after the obvious back-stabbing he did to the American people, has got to be nuts. Anyone voting Republican are evil or too stupid to realize they are being had.

Romney is the pre-ordained corporate candidate of the Repubs. So far, the corporate wing seems to be beating the religious wing (which is also corporate). The corporate wing will have two corporatist candidates--Obama and Romney.
However, since the base is not happy with Romney, watch for a dark horse--Jeb Bush, perhaps.
