I may not always be right but I am never wrong! Here is a letter that sent to Blog Posters in 2008

    Dear Posters:

On Friday, February 15, 2008, Hitler Bush I endorsed Hitler McCain for the Nazi Party nomination for Fuhrer of the United States of Evil. With Hitler Bush I’s endorsement it became perfectly clear that Jeb Hitler Bush would be on the Nazi Party ticket as vice-Fuhrer of the United States of Evil. Hitler McCain needs a religious Nazi on his ticket. We must never forget that most Nazi Americans are enamored with the Hitler Bush family.

Jeb Hitler Bush IS THE PERFECT CANDIDATE for the ticket. He is a from a “compassionate conservative” family; he is a full fledged Nazi; he has the beloved name of Hitler Bush; and his wife is Hispanic. His wife will gather the Latino vote just like Omania or Omaniac gathers the black vote. The ticket of McCain-Jeb Hitler Bush is a dream team for the Nazi Party.

The ticket will have in Hitler McCain someone who desires to carry out a one hundred year war around the world and in Jeb Hitler Bush the ticket has a proven member of a family that cares nothing about body bags, mass murders, torture, and war crimes. This ticket is truly a perfect match.

Let me also add that Hitler McCain does not look well to me and I believe that he will only serve one term as the Fuhrer of the United States of Evil. Jeb Hitler Bush will receive the Nazi Party nomination in 2012 and he will be elected for the next eight years before George P. Hitler Bush becomes the Fuhrer for another eight years. Again, Jeb Hitler Bush’s wife will help her husband with the Latino voters because she is Hispanic.

The Hitler Bush dynasty will be in the White House for many, many years. This is my prediction and you can take it to the bank.

    Sincerely,

    Gerald

Black Friday, Bloody Teabags, and Smells of America

Black Friday reminds me of a typical American way of life. Americans will trample over the body of a Wall Mart employee on their way for a bargain sale but they possess lust in their heart for the killing of God’s children.

    Bloody Teabags

I would like to start a Bloody Teabag Party. A Bloody Teabag would be the party’s calling card. A Bloody Teabag is about the size and shape of a regular teabag. The gauze is layered and a string ties the gauze together. The gauze is dipped into human blood and placed in the freezer for present and future enjoyment. Each time an American lusts for human blood, he takes the bloody teabag from the freezer and places the bloody teabag in a cup of boiling water. He sips from the cup human blood and you can see on his face a shit lapping grin as he enjoys the taste of human blood. Once a person has acquired the taste of human blood, he seeks no other taste.

    Smells of America

I want to say to you that I am deeply upset. Yes, I have been critical of my country and from my posts you, too, can sense my criticism but I tell it like I perceive it. What makes me deeply upset are the subtle rumors, probably by non-Americans, that America smells like human arm pits. If people are going to be critical of my country, they need to be honest and truthful in their assessment of the smells of America. I do not believe that America smells like human arm pits!

If people want an honest and truthful assessment of the smells of America, they must take the time and go outside to fill up their nostrils with the smell of napalm in the morning and the smell of burning human flesh in the evening. The smells of America are napalm and burning human flesh. These smells are my olfactory perception of America.

Thom, here is a suggestion. Maybe you could have Dale Ahlquist of the American Chesterton Society on your show for two segments. He may be able to share light on how G. K. would be thinking about our current issues and problems, such as the wide gap in money between the rich and the poor and on immoral and wrong wars.

Thank you for taking on this issue. It is the root of a huge and fast growing invasive poisonous plant. People are wasting energy hacking at the branches of the plant. We need to get educated about this issue and educate each other about it so that we can join together to pull up the root.

A successful, contemporary example of what we need to look at is BRAZIL! The costs of doing business in Brazil are higher than any other Latin American country, but they have experienced continual growth during this past decade. The Conservatives like to talk about Greece, but they choose to ignore Brazil because it has been led by Lula (and now his recently-elected successor), a socialist of the Workers Party (Partido do Trabalhadores). Brazil protects their industries and espouses policies which encourage manufacturing and assembly in Brazil. As a matter of fact, if a manufacturer from China, India or any other country with whom they do NOT have a treaty (e.g. MERCOSUR), wants to sell their products in Brazil, they face stiff importation tariffs. The Brazilian market is large enough (200 million people) for those tariffs to encourage investment in assembly and manufacturing. The US is the largest consumer market in the World... I think we could use some Brazilian-inspired protectionist policies!

    Louise,

I agree with everything you have written in your blog. Because of the disconnect with Congress and the people, we have depended on Obahma to take the lead in rectifying this inbalance. However, he is too congenial, or is getting poor advice from his "experts." Even the polls and media seem to be giving a false picture of what is going on with the Countries economics.

Because companies are making such vast profits without helping workers, both working and unemployment, it appears that our leaders must find a way to legislate some ways to level the playing field so that the poor and middle class are not at the mercy of corporations. If money is power we are headed for a feudal monarchy. The monarchs are corporations with facist ideals. How rich do you have to be before you develope some compassion for others? Also, if the inheiratance laws are reformed, we can only hope that there will be less insentive to amass unlimited wealth before the "monarchs" meet their maker.

We have to do a better job of communicating to the press and others the reality of the ecomic picrure in ways that they understand. I am, obviously, an optimist. I know of no other way than to plott a plan to win. Giving up is not an option. Even corporations will fail when nobody can afford their products.

We must do a much better job of informing the press and others of the truths that plague us. I am obviously an optimist. There must be a way to win this battle.

Thom, I have listened to your recycled radio show and I believe that having good, informative people, like Wendall Potter and Chris Hedges needs three or four segments of radio time. Listening to Potter and Hedges offers us more learning for our brain. Please cut the conservative filibuster's time to five or less minutes. The filibusters are nauseous guests.

Our nation's liberty is in jeapordy as never before since Hitler.
The dictatorship of China has us over a barrel with over 2 trillion
of our dollars that they can use to blackmail us. Large (supposedly)
loyal American companies with factories in China making record profits
that have shown absolutely no loyalty to American workers. A President
that has no kohonies when it comes to designing the trade agreements (ie.
GAT, NAFTA etc.), and enacting strong trade tariffs. We need trade tariffs
now not later. I understand why the President doesn't enact powerful
trade tariffs because the Chineese dictatorship would revolt by flooding
the world with dollars causing extreme inflation in the USA. I say
go ahead, bring it on (as Bush would say). We could simply enact a new
paper money making all old money outdated, and print new money only good
in free countries eliminating China, and others.

With manufacturing being moved to China and with American consumerism ( Wall Mart, Target , etc. ) being such a critical factor in that, and you add in the current problem with Korea, one has to wonder how China will chime in. I can't see as how the US consumer can continue to afford to prop up Wall Mart Street if Korea blows up on top of everything else. What will it take from China to persuade Kim Jong Ill to put his toys back in the box ?

I have a difficult time celebrating Thanksgiving. Obama spared the life of two turkeys. I wish that he would spare the lives of our soldiers and the lives of God's children in the Middle East. He can spare lives by returning our soldiers home and end these immoral and wrong wars.

“I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.” G. K. Chesterton, Illustrated London News, April 29, 1922!

The American Chesterton Society has a new book on their shelves. John Medaille is the author. The title of the book is “Toward a Truly Free Market: A Distributist Perspective on the Role of Government, Taxes, Health Care, Deficits, and More.” Maybe Thom can have the author on his radio show. This book is a refreshingly clear case for Distribution. But what really sets this book apart from others is that Medaille demonstrates that even apart from the moral imperative, Distributism prevails over other economic theories even on purely economic arguments. Along the way, he shows how we can slash the federal budget in half, streamline the bureaucracy, end the bailouts, and actually fix the health care mess. This book is new and it may not be at the libraries. A brief description of the book sounds good but who knows the real motives of the book. Below I have tried to share with you some of G. K. Chesterton’s thoughts on Distributiveness.

Government and commerce should not grow too large because the people will not control government and commerce. They will control us. You cannot have a moral government from an immoral government.

Industrialism is too crooked and complex. The voice of God is important in a democracy. Enemies of the family are the enemies of democracy. For democracy to work we must value the family. (Do you sense that there are politicians and corporations who care very little about families in our country?) Democracy is from the bottom up and not top down. Freedom is independence. Self-denial is the test of self-government. Self-government is thinking for your self. We must do things for ourselves. Big business and big government are bad for democracy. When you lose a common heritage, you lose common sense. We live by the wage. Wage slavery is still slavery. The servile state is inconsistent with democracy.

Property is a form of democracy. Distributiveness is necessary for democracy. Human happiness should be our end in a democracy. A small salary is eternal slavery. (Today, we are seeing eternal slavery in the USA with small salaries and the loss of the middle class.) Democracy is difficult. Democracy must be concerned with justice. For a democracy to work we must love God and we must love our neighbor.

G.K. Chesterton argues politics. In a democracy people should govern themselves. Corporations and the rich are governing us. Common sense is better than a corrupt government. Government and commerce are ugly necessities. They control the people and the people do not control them. CAPITALISM IS NOT A FRIEND OF DEMOCRACY. Democracy MUST serve both God and man. Both capitalism and communism are too materialistic. We cannot give everything to the government and commerce. Rich men would rather starve the people.

Industrialism is an indirect system. The voice of the people is the voice of God. Enemies of democracy are the enemies of families. For democracy to work the best interests of the family must be considered. (Single payer health care reform plans is democracy and it serves the families.) Self-denial is important in the world. We cannot rely on other people. We should do something for love.

Mob rule is democracy in its purest sense. Government and democracy isolate people from each other. We have cut off ourselves from each other.

Property and money need to be distributed to the people. We need more skill trades. Society declines when there is a great difference in salaries between the rich and the poor. (Our minimum wage law has not kept pace with the cost of living. If our minimum wage law had kept pace with the cost of living since it was enacted, the minimum wage would be at nineteen dollars per hour.) For democracy to work we need to be concerned about justice.

Thom, Thom, Thom: Wrong again. The TSA is not violating our 4th admendment rights. Let's review: the constitution is to protect the people, all of the people, from the government's taking the actions outlined in any single amendment against the people en masse.

These violations affect the people, all the people, without distinction. You need only be breathing for this to affect you.

The TSA, on the other hand, is working with people who choose to fly from certain airports. They are perfectly aware that they will be checked at the airport when they buy the ticket. In order to avoid this, they can merely not fly. That is it. They are not compelled to fly. There is no mention of a "right to fly without going through security" in the constitution.

Also, there are only about 70 airports that have these body scan and pat downs. Pat downs have been at airports for awhile and wands have too. But if they need the extra layer of security, then the passenger chooses which of the body scan or pat down you want. You are not compelled one way or the other.

When they do do the pat down, it is with the back of their hand, not the front, in sensitive areas.

Finally, trying listening to Bill Press. He gets the pat down every single time due to a health implant. He actually is required to do so, however, he doesn't have a problem with it. It's too quick for him to. If anyone could justify being put out, it would be he.

This isn't any more true than your saying that WWII was fought over religious freedom as I heard you say.

You may be writing a lot of books, but try reading some history or contract law books.

    Kim

PS: Not everyone can call in to your show. Some areas do not get the show live. Some people actually have to work during those hours.

"When are we going to realize our nation's relationship with corporate CEOs in no longer mutually beneficial?"

This is such a daunting question, one that is not easily answered. I believe it will involve generations of re-educating ourselves and our children about what is important in society, that our focus should not be on our own personal success, greed, and wealth but on the successes of our country or the "collective" and its economic health for all. We need to re-learn the tenants of all organized religions that is better to give than receive and take care of each other. But before we can do that we need to learn how to recapture the ability to deliver the message and counter the invective from the right.

  • American businesses posted the largest profits ever – and moved our jobs to China!   14 years 30 weeks ago

This one is directed to the original question:

There IS no solution. The way the deck is stacked right now with weak Democrats who keep moving towards the center (which used to be called the far right) and ignorant Republicans who keep selling out their country for campaign donations, a news media which has been bought up and consolidated by a few Republican owned conglomerates, and a Republican appointed court system (including a Supreme Court that allows unlimited funding of political campaigns from anonymous donors) there will NEVER be a solution.

Its like the movie "Independence Day" when Jeff Goldblum figures out that the aliens have positioned all their ships for an annihilation attack. Except that was a movie. F14s (or whatever they were ) probably can't defeat interstellar technology. And we probably can't defeat the "artificial lifeforms" that plague us. The trap has been set. Its over.

Conclusion: This country is done. Its in a downward spiral and it won't stop until we're just like Mexico. In 20 years you'll be telling your grandkids about the days when unemployment was only about 10% and people didn't have to be rich to own their own homes or go to college. That's the bad news.

The good news is that America has fulfilled its place in history. It provided the basis from which other countries could learn. Other nations have seen our example and learned from our mistakes. And they will pick up the baton that we dropped. The world will move forward without us. But the US is destined to become a 3rd world nation. Conservatism has destroyed us. At least for the rest of my life.

pdvossen here's something I scribbled down a while back that I think answers your question. I've spent enough time arguing with conservatives that I think I have found the definitive answer:

There are two basic ways that people can process information. The first is what you might call the "scientific method". You gather facts and form conclusions. When new information becomes available that conflicts with your conclusions you draw new conclusions to include the conflicting information. This is called "learning".

The second is what I refer to as "faith based" information processing. You start with the conclusions. Generally they are accepted in whole cloth from an authority figure and they are NEVER to be questioned. When new information becomes available that conflicts with that belief system you simply reject the information. That makes learning IMPOSSIBLE. But it protects the belief system. Otherwise the belief system could not stand since it conflicts with reality. The more factual information that is rejected the further one's world view gets from reality. At some point the views are so divergent from the real world that the person becomes certifiably insane.

The reason liberals and conservatives conflict is because they operate in different modes. When "faith based" information processing is challenged with facts and reality it protects itself by getting angry. People cannot think when they are angry. Thus the cycle continues.

Simple and concise Thom. Just a perfect presentation on the economic

realities we live in. I just don't understand how people are so blind not

to comprehend it at all. They all are blinded by some conservative

    jargon or something.

I just read the latest book by a recent guest of yours Ravi Batra on the " New

Golden Age ". Scary to think he wrote that just before the economic crumble

in 2008. He also supports what you are saying right down to the penny.

God bless you and keep up the good work. Love the show Thom.
