WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WOULD DO THIS TO THEIR OWN PEOPLE?! AND THEN THEY WANT YOU TO CONTINUE LIVING WITHIN THEIR SYSTEM, VOTING FOR THEIR PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE!

Maybe the 99% movement rallies in 1400 US towns and cities are helping to tame the wild beast. The dreadful thought of townsquare guillotines, or maybe just old-fashioned western-justice hangman's nooses, may be quelling the atmosphere of those useful idiots for the ruling elite and their puppetmasters who have, seemingly, gotten away with outright financial treason against the rest of us...not to mention the despicable, shameful slaughtering of other human beings in the Middle East and elsewhere...the war crimes committed in our name.
The 1%, who are depending on the continued stupidity and gullibility of the plebeian fools, with delusions of grandeur perhaps, who have been deluded by Fox snooze into being boisterously against their best financial interests, may have realized how they may begin to loose support if their useful idiots look like howling idiots. So, perhaps, a change of strategy on their part...tame it down...look more like placid, decent, and "responsible" citizens rather than a pack of howling monkeys. Yes, let's all pretend to be decent, shall we? But starvation, homelessness, and the feeling of profound despair and hopelessness betrays being decent and we are left with an animalistic death-thro lashing out to survive. The smug Tea-baggers are probably fairly well to do, or at least not yet starving, and all probably still have the delusion that they will have amassed great wealth one day themselves if they play their machiavellian and Kapo cards right.
The ruling elite have other games to play to keep us distracted....like maybe an increase in the concern for terrorism...maybe an attempted assassination of a Saudi Ambassador. If that doesn't do it, they might again, stage another false flag operation that may again have us thinking about buying gas masks... or avoid opening the mail..or staying out of tall buildings. Stock up on duct tape and Cipro pills, ya all, for the Ice Man Cometh.
AMERICAN PEOPLE! TAKE THEIR GUNS AWAY! TAKE THE GUNS AWAY FROM THE 1% AND THEIR GOVERNMENT. THE 1% USING YOUR GOVERNMENT WANT TO TAKE YOUR GUNS AWAY SO THAT YOU, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, CANNOT TURN YOUR GUNS, ONE DAY, UPON THEM FOR ALL THEY HAVE DONE AND ARE CONTINUING IN DOING TO YOU.

YOU NEED YOUR MILITARY, YOUR POLICE FORCES AND YOUR MARINES, AIRFORCE AND NAVY BACK. QUANTITATIVE EASING WILL BRING THEM BACK TO THE PEOPLE TO WORK IN ONENESS WITH THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE AND ALL PROGRESS WILL THEN BE MADE BY THE PEOPLE.

All of the "Occupy Wallstreet" complaints can be directly attributed to the laws and regulations or deregulation that the wealthy wanted and got.

I just heard on your program today, as I have heard everywhere else in the media, that the Occupy Wall Street movement has no coherent list of demands. On the contrary, the movement has posted a very coherent and well-aimed list of specific demands for legistlation and action at the following link:

You can go there and vote "yes" or "no" on which proposals you would like to see become part of the official list of demands, or even suggest your own proposals.
Please share this with listeners so that we can dispell the myth that this movement is an incoherent, directionless, fly-by-night bunch of rabble rouser hippies with nothing to demand.

I'm sorry but I'm having trouble finding a place to put a comment about another topic. I'm wanyting to mention Tom Friedman's Op Ed in today's NYTimes. In it he speaks of a book by Paul Gilding called The Great Disruption in which Gilding thinks the disruptions across the globe are all connected and makes many of the comments Thom Hartmann makes. But he goes a bit farther. T. Friedman thinks he cannot be ignored. Any thoughts?

“QUANTITATIVE EASING” IS SIMPLY THE CREATION OF MONEY “OUT OF THIN AIR.”
The 1% and their closest underlings “write the money into existence” and then charge the people interest on the phony debt. This debt, they, the American people, must then pay back along with the interest which, in the case of a mortgage over 25 years, amounts to four times the value of a house. So, for every house the banker issues a mortgage on, he gets three for free over the term of the contract.
THIS IS WHAT YOU, THE 99% SHOULD BE DEMANDING FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOURSELVES IN RELATION TO YOUR HEALTH SYSTEM, YOUR EDUCATION, YOUR PENSIONS, YOUR SAFETY NET, YOUR MORTGAGES, JUST FOR STARTERS, FOR AS LONG AS THE MONEY SYSTEM IS IN OPERATION.
This would rescue all of you out of your financial hardships.

The 1% are strong because they work as ONE people with ONE MIND (backed by a financial system which only they control).

Once you can show your military, your police forces, your marines, and others that in joining your revolution they do not need to fear, for inititally when you take your country back you will be in the position to “quantitate” easy your financial house right back in order and wipe all your national debt right out of existence with a stroke of a pen, and with another stroke of a pen you write everything back into existence – your pensions, health care, safety net (quantitative easing IS your safety net) and everything else you need. Then you will be ready for the system without even that.
“QUANTITATIVE EASING” IS THE SECOND STEP.

The young Occupy movement people are being criticized for engaging in consciousness raising techniques, in the conduct of their democratic assemblies.
While it is truly sad that they need to go back and begin all over again where their parents were 40 to 50 years ago, it's important to understand why.
When the streets were filled with rebellion in the 50's, and with rage in the 60's, The System provided two roads converged within one corporate party. A few refused to travel either of those roads leading to the same state, but near all rebelling back then chose one of the two offered.
Near everyone who raised their consciousness, back then, comfortably chose to life-long participate in and affirmatively support the devious (D) choice within the corporate-state's corporate party.
Consciousness raised liberals considered conservative overt racism and meanness toward poor people to be contemptuous, but the liberals voted for the class war party's Democrats to covertly maintain the poor in poverty and in prisons, as a permanent underclass.
Consciousness raised liberals were filled with anger against rash Republican warmongers, but they voted for the war party's Democrats to perpetually credit card fund weaponry and wars, and to patiently manage more wars "better" than Republicans would.
Consciousness raised liberals were disgusted with unregulated pollution, but they voted for the polluted party's Democrats to regulate environmentalists, and make the profits of polluters more sustainable.
Consciousness raised liberals reviled the Chamber of Commerce small-minded businessmen, but the liberals voted for the pump-and-dump capitalist crime party's Democrats to remove the wall between banks and finance — the wall between banksters and limitless speculation.
Consciousness raised liberals were concerned about "healthcare" costs, but they voted for the privatizing party's Democrats to take all care for people's health "off the table" — something Democrats say we can't do here because "there are too many legacy system" sick profit considerations.
Consciousness raised liberals considered legal limits upon torture to be repulsive, but they voted for the "School of the Americas" party Democrats to remove all limits upon torture, other than requiring it to be done out-of-sight-out-of-mind in far off "black site" places where the screams will not be heard, with no embarrassing trophy pictures allowed.
Consciousness raised liberals ridiculed the ignorant climate change deniers, but they voted for the extraction industry party's Democrats to ignore climate change — to just watch and wait, while the glaciers all disappear and the permafrost becomes impermanent.
Having raised their consciousness, the liberals considered it acceptable for their so especially sensitive "intelligent" selves to lifelong (D) do everything unconscionable.
Our young now need to begin organizing resistance with consciousness raising all over again — beginning at square 1, again — because most of their parents wasted half a century MovingOn backwards, as unconscionable Democrats supporting the corporate party... regularly routinely providing popular vote mandates for a continuum of all the crimes of the corporate-state.

The real message of OWS is that a citizen of America owns the very things which are being denied to us and when we complain we are arrested, silenced and condeemed without a trial. Our elected officals are guilty of obstruction of justice and other crimes yet no one gets arrested. Our prison system is a tax funded enitity which seeks to make criminals out of every American, our military has been taken over by corporations seeking to profit by making more weapons and ammo, tanks and bombs, our laws are perverted to profit those who can afford lobbying, our supreme court is a bought off court which no longer has the real interests of the citizens of America and bow down to corporate money, the jobs which are being outsourced are being sold by the people who own them mostly Republicans seeking to stop the current President.
Every one in America has a different understanding of what these protests are about, and that is because it is not just one thing or is it the money pollution of our elected and appointed officals?
You're not SMARTER just MEANER, MORE UNETHICAL, and TOO STUPID to realize that your wealth comes from the 99% you feel so much disdain for. Poorly paid workers translate to penniless consumers which means NO PROFIT for you--who is STUPID NOW?
Your wealth does not make you impervious to justice. The US military is full of OUR SONS and DAUGHTERS not yours. Do you think they, who are part of the 99%, will take arms against their parents and family for YOU? We taxpayers PAY their salary. You tax dodgers do not.

Lets all put up LAWN SIGNS (great idea some one had)..
BUT the damn things are "MUCH" cheaper when someone buys a quantity.. Someone needs to sell them roughly at cost to publicize (I sent thom a message)..
The wire things can be bought locally cheap (or simply use a stick) to stand the signs up..
