@ZeroG: ditto on Schieffer. I refer to him as Bob 'What A Good Boy Am I" Schieffer, or Bob "Mr. Dimples" Schieffer. I wrote him a letter after the Dan Rather/Bush AWOL scandal, and after his typical editorial pooh-poohing the allegations. Pointed out that he';s from Texas, and it was old news in Texas; aving been previously revealed by at least 2 Texas publications, i.e. The Austin Chronicle and the Texas Observer.
Bob Schieffer's brother was George Bush's partner in the TX Rangers. His brother is [was] presently serving at the pleasure of GWB as Ambassador to Australia - media matters
I will state that my rhetoric about George Bush, and the GOPhers was and is inflammatory, and not that much more charitible to the Democrats.
I chose to point out the murderous policies of both. The military marches on...under both regimes. The unruly rhetoric the Scheiffer decries is nought but a sideshow.
@Zero G I check yr links too
The Churchill quote is a good one - First intentional use of modern chemical weapons on civilian population was by Churchill same year 1920 ... In Iraq.
I bet <10% of US population knows that 2/3 of Iraq population was 19 yrs old or less when we invaded. Ohhh what a superpower - we took over nation that is mostly children. Ask a Tea Partier who benefited fro the war in Iraq (besides oil and war corporations). You may have to inform them that the war has killed, displaced, orphaned or injured millions of Iraqis though ...
@ZeroG - The subject of both the program and the commentary on Face the Nation yesterday was the wild and unruly rhetoric that's been displayed over the past weeks with regard to the Health Insurance Reform measures. The non-partisan primary idea was advanced as a means of achieving a more respectful and co-operative legislative atmosphere.
Thom said last week that the difference between a "Politician" and "Statesmen" is that a Politician's prime concern is the next election, while a Statesman's prime concern is the next generation. I'd say that the partisans are Politicians, while Statesmen, by and large, tend to behave in a more non-partisan manner.

Not true. The Chinese farmer, who saw his livelyhood destroyed by US farm subsidies (not to mention China's aggressive indutrialization), can now take comfort in sending his children into the city to work for near-slavery wages.
The folk who work at the club, “Voyeur” are good, salt of the Earth, working folk and I, for one, am glad that Michael Steele trickled down cash their way . . . Rather than spending it electing more Republican hypocrites.
Barry Goldwater famously said: "...extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice". He was probably speaking of conservative extremism, but shouldn't it also apply to socialist "extremism"? How about: "Socialism in the defense of liberty is no vice"?!
Perhaps a voice in the wind carries...thanks

@Zero G: I got arrested for naked truth one time, but then they had to let me go for lack of evidence.

I prefer the naked truth, but would favor lace over leather...
@Gene, I was going to say "Hang him in lingerie", but I had to look up how to spell it.
