Check out something called "Disconnect". It disables third-party traffic...good for Facebook, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari...and it's free. Third party tracking is different than third party cookies which you can turn off anyway in Firefox and maybe other browsers. Tracking is more pervasive than just cookies. So it disables third-party tracking, truly depersonalizes searches, shows blocked resources and cookies, let you easily unblock services, and it's free. Sometimes it may be a little too aggressive, in which case you can tell it to back off if there are things that don't work, a little bit like NoScript, that can be too aggressive." It will sanitize the browser transactions in order to pull out any personally identifiable information and things that look questionable."

When you’re logged out, Facebook uses a unique identifier to track your browsing activity, IP address, and other computer and browser info. They admitted being able to connect the pages you visit when logged off to your real name simply by matching against your computer and browser characteristics.

We did not know there were foreign military in these United States of America, other than the foreign contolled United States machine, (military) but what you have stated makes so much sense. You're wrong. If the automatic cuts kick in it's both sides fault. On the positive side of it, they wouldn't kiick in until 2013, after the elections. So, it's important we vote in the right people next year. But it's also what the Repugnants want, the economy to fail. I think they have the mistaken idea that if that happens the people will blame Obama, but in light of their current voter approval rate of 9%, it won't work and they;ll lose big time in 2012. Unfortunately, many people can't seem to differentiate between the good and bad guys in Congress, which is a mistake. We need to keep the ones who are working on our behalf and weed out the bad. Next year is probably the most important vote we'll ever make.
I was pleased to watch the House vote on C-Span today and watch the balanced budget amendment fail, despite 25 turncoat Democrats who voted in favor of it. Surprisinly, 4 Republicans voted against it. It's a start.

So, according to wikipedia's numbers...it looks like there are about 1,311,255 active duty personnel still in the US. There are, of course, many others employed by paramilitary outfits like Blackwater (now Xe) in addition to the US military that should be considered. As we know from Hurricane Katrina, Blackwater paramilitary was used to "keep the peace" in New Orleans and elsewhere. They will also likely be used in the event of a civil disobedience should they decide it is necessary.
Yes, I've heard of Pine Gap in Australia...and what I read many years ago was concerning Project Echelon...which is a multi-country partnership in spying on everyone, including their own citizens. Since, in earlier years, before 911, they skirted the law against spying on their own citizens by having the partner countries do the spying and then reporting the information to each other. I've also heard of the possibility that there are a lot of foreign military in the US, as well, that could be used to quell any kind of uprising. Those foreign troops would not be so empathetic toward American citizens.
If Mayor Bloomberg tries to squeeze Protesters out of the Park and out of other public places, then the Occupiers have no alternative but to take to the streets. This is what Palestinians are forced to do, and they become wall to wall Protesters across roads, with so many Peoples in the streets, that nobody can pass, but have no other option than to become one with them, which they willingly do.
Wall to wall people cannot be easily walked through, so in doing so this strategy can also be done peacefully.

Palindromedary, can you tell us how many U.S. troops are left on American soil? Australia is the next location the foreign controlled U.S. President Obama is going to build another American base in. It will be in northern Austalia, and this is to be done against the wishes of the Australian people. Apparently there will be over 2,500 Marines to occupy this base. We know about Pinegap, the secret U.S. base in Australia. The people within the various golf type buildings wear color coded shirts. Each sector has a different color and is not allowed to interact, one with the other.
We believe he is doing this on behalf of the militarized industrial complex for two reasons:
The first, because he does not want those Marines home to join with the Protesters against the 1%, and of course, himself. Finally we the people waking up and speaking out! After thirty years of the 1% undoing what FDR did to make America more equitable. Changes that took a depression to allow him to accomplish, has brought us to monetary systems similar to the 1929 economic system, and we all know what happened next. The Occupy Wall Street movement is pointing to the crux of why our country is in such a dire economic state, the 1%'s insatiable greed that ships our jobs overseas and leaves us crumbs to survive on.

For less mobile protestors, a good mass FOIA action would be, ask the FDIC how to obtain a copy of the FDIC Certificate of your bank, or a receipt bearing the certificate number. Ask where is it written down since 1933, the origin of deposit insurance, which bank was assigned what Certificate Number. Ask, where is the Master File? These are logical questions which the FDIC cannot answer.
Those who have lost property can clog their county recorder's offices by doing their own abstract of title research from public records. Let the recorders teach you how to trace deeds to their origins. Let the tax assesssor explain how to read the Plat Books and obtain a complete history of all entities who paid the taxes on a piece of land in question over the years since it was platted. Research any piece of land which interests you and order copies of old documents which are archived. Check on all Probates of friends or relatives who died alone and separated from family members and examine the final distribution of property.
This type of activity makes lawyers, bankers, and securities traders nervous beyond endurance- the violation of their citadel of filings and public records no one ever examines. It is how they succeed in plunder.
When I go Public Records clogging I usually pack crackers I can sneak into my mouth, and bottled water so I don't have to stop for lunch. It's amazing how the hours fly while rolling through reel after reel of unfocused micro-fiche.

Palindromedary, you are a brilliant writer. However, as we agree with most of what you write, you must remember that there is "righteous, uncorruptable" leadership throughout the world. Leadership in which acquiring money does not exist; leadership where love of power does not exist nor override the love of the Peoples; leadership which will participate only in progress the people have made under their guidance, and leadership which cannot be corrupted because such leaderships follow the example of their forefathers and foremothers from beyond this planet.

It's one thing to make regulations but another to enforce them. And isn't it the government, itself, supposed to be that "firewall"...which has been bought out, and corrupted, by the ruling elite? And firewalls are good for keeping out the amateurs without the the tools for breaching firewalls...but even script kiddies can get the tools that, with little knowledge on their own, breach most firewalls and implant trojans using rootkit technology to hide from most virus checkers. This analogy can be applied to any government organization as well....and the ruling elite are not just script kiddies. Without a strong and honest government to begin with, that enforces their laws, even against the most wealthy and powerful...like banks, corporations, Wall Street, and the corrupting influence of the vested interests of other countries (hava, nagila)....no matter what regulation it has, it will be useless.

Just look around the globe at how the Occupations have grown. In some cases, the Peoples are outnumbering the police. So if the Militaries of the World join with the Peoples, the days of the 1% are numbered, and the rebuilding of Paradise for the Peoples is on its way.

I think that the fact that the OWS doesn't have a leader...one that will tend to hog all the glory...and, if funding came into the picture, a lot of the money that he/she/it will manage to skim....having a leader could be, perhaps, the most destructive of an "organization"...or maybe I should say "disorganization". But it the "disorganization" is working...as it seems to be growing in numbers...in part, perhaps, because there are no leaders with their own selfish agendas or those that will probably have the backing of more narrow interests...like the Koch brothers. We voted for, and trusted, one "leader" who screwed us.
There are no "failed" and "corrupt" politicians, charismatic as they may be, to steer the groups into sure self annihilation. Having a "central authority" makes it easier for that "central authority" to "sell out" and take the wind out of the sails of the massive rebellion efforts.
There is just a growing, and widespread, anarchistic feeling that the old worn-out ways are corruptible and will sell out to the wealthiest interests.
The majority of Americans already side with OWS...and the majority of Americans do not believe that these demonstrators are just a bunch of hippies...even though there may be some attending these demonstrations upon which the news media is prone to highlight so that they can get some of their viewers to believing that it is just mainly a hippy thing. And hippies are Americans too...without them we would probably still be in Vietnam. And the lack of them, over the last 8 or so years, may be the reason why we have prolonged the wars in the Middle East.
I don't know...was the word Hippy an iatrogenic affliction or was it just a propagandistic term foisted upon a younger generation who protested the criminal war in Vietnam? I'm sure that a lot of jingoist, war-mongering old Republicans are probably still using the misnomer of "communist" to express their propagandistic induced brain-farts upon good and loyal citizens who have no where else to turn but to demonstrate.
The fact that some people view the OWS groups as hippies, and in a disdainful way, shows how they have been abused by the propagandistic system that has hooked and imprisoned the minds of Americans into working for, and accepting, a course of belief and action that is detrimental to his/her well-being. And they don't even know, or recognize, that this has been done to them.
Some ideas, thanks to years of media induced propaganda, get so deeply entrenched that it is easy to manipulate people years later by the use of various terms...keywords..."Manchurian Candidate code words" or Pavlovian suggestions to get people to react, psychologically or even hypnotically, to them.
The majority of the OWS demonstrators are not as malleable to the suggestive manipulations of the same code words because they are, on average, much younger. Many were not even born at the time when the term "hippy" was even being used. It is mostly the old people who have been so thoroughly propagandized with old-school terms like hippies, communists, radicals, subversives, anarchists, atheists, marijuana...."eeevvviillll" terms that when used, jerks some people's brains into a "Manchurian Candidate code word" fright that it activates the automaton nerve centers into overtime...which results in beliefs and actions that are contrary to their best interests.
Of course, the young people are highly manipulated as well but they have been largely manipulated to buy the latest iphone or flavored condom...their code words are marketing driven so that they just have to have the newest and latest communication gadget and app.
Of course, it is just these toys that are being used (along with the lowly home computer over the internet, of course) that are being monitored by control groups in the CIA and Pentagon. The smarter ones, who know the difference between a "regular expression" and a "sql injection", for example, might be harder to spy on.
Although, the internet can be used for large masses of people to communicate effectively...and for a real democracy that's what is needed. It is also being used by the "bad guys"...the 1%..the Fascists....and their useful idiots to keep tabs on, and manipulate what people think. They are using their useful idiots to interject poisoned ideas into the internet stream...into blogs...to put doubt into peoples minds about rebelling against them...to accept the status quo (of the ruling elite).
There has had no better way of monitoring what certain people believe, and what they are doing, or intend to do, than the internet. Since IBM supplied Hitler with tabulating machines and punched cards and a continued assistance in amassing information on the Jews and everyone else, which led to the very efficient and speedy identification and attempted annihilation of large masses of people, the modern day equivalent can be just as dangerous, or even more dangerous, to masses of people who are unaware of this.
I hope it works better than putting a "Firewall" between investment banks and normal savings banks. All it took was a new law to destroy decades of what worked in favor of the majority of Americans. But, your idea sounds good. Except getting the rich to go for this idea will be just as hard..or harder...than trying to get them to pay their fair share of the taxes. There will be loopholes. But it's good that people have ideas. Now we just need more teeth! Teeth that will gnaw and rip to shreds the entrenched selfishness, greed, and corruption of the rich. Lindaisatoothle, we do not believe the OWS are not being taken seriously. The OWS throughout these United States of America are being supported by Marines and other members of the Military, also members of the police force are slowly coming on board. It may have seemed initially to be a gathering of unhappy young people, but not any more.
You have good, constructive, and positive ideas. Unfortunately, if such a leader were to stand up and identify him or herself without the full protection of the Military, that spokesperson would be either arrested and removed from public view, or assassinated.
Even if each State had such a leading spokesperson, the result would be the same.
The foreign controlled U.S. Government has always employed the strategy of "taking out a leader" in order to disassemble their followers. Ruling powers have used the strategy of fragmenting their opposition, and will continue to do so until the Military take a stand against them. History has proven it to be so. It is time now for that history to not any longer be repeated.
However, what the peoples can do for themselves is to understand in a reasonable and sensible way that one road which will bring them the best life can offer.
You are so right, the OWS movement needs a leader with all the qualities you have described, however that particular leader must then also have iron-clad protection.

The Norquist pledge was like promising to never turn left when driving.. (actually, two wrongs don't make a right but three lefts will) but this could be a proper ideological standpoint.

I think that the fact that the OWS doesn't have a leader...one that will tend to hog all the glory...and, if funding came into the picture, a lot of the money that he/she/it will manage to skim....having a leader could be, perhaps, the most destructive of an "organization"...or maybe I should say "disorganization". But it the "disorganization" is working...as it seems to be growing in numbers...in part, perhaps, because there are no leaders with their own selfish agendas or those that will probably have the backing of more narrow interests...like the Koch brothers. We voted for, and trusted, one "leader" who screwed us.
There are no "failed" and "corrupt" politicians, charismatic as they may be, to steer the groups into sure self annihilation. Having a "central authority" makes it easier for that "central authority" to "sell out" and take the wind out of the sails of the massive rebellion efforts.
There is just a growing, and widespread, anarchistic feeling that the old worn-out ways are corruptible and will sell out to the wealthiest interests.
The majority of Americans already side with OWS...and the majority of Americans do not believe that these demonstrators are just a bunch of hippies...even though there may be some attending these demonstrations upon which the news media is prone to highlight so that they can get some of their viewers to believing that it is just mainly a hippy thing. And hippies are Americans too...without them we would probably still be in Vietnam. And the lack of them, over the last 8 or so years, may be the reason why we have prolonged the wars in the Middle East.
I don't know...was the word Hippy an iatrogenic affliction or was it just a propagandistic term foisted upon a younger generation who protested the criminal war in Vietnam? I'm sure that a lot of jingoist, war-mongering old Republicans are probably still using the misnomer of "communist" to express their propagandistic induced brain-farts upon good and loyal citizens who have no where else to turn but to demonstrate.
The fact that some people view the OWS groups as hippies, and in a disdainful way, shows how they have been abused by the propagandistic system that has hooked and imprisoned the minds of Americans into working for, and accepting, a course of belief and action that is detrimental to his/her well-being. And they don't even know, or recognize, that this has been done to them.
Some ideas, thanks to years of media induced propaganda, get so deeply entrenched that it is easy to manipulate people years later by the use of various terms...keywords..."Manchurian Candidate code words" or Pavlovian suggestions to get people to react, psychologically or even hypnotically, to them.
The majority of the OWS demonstrators are not as malleable to the suggestive manipulations of the same code words because they are, on average, much younger. Many were not even born at the time when the term "hippy" was even being used. It is mostly the old people who have been so thoroughly propagandized with old-school terms like hippies, communists, radicals, subversives, anarchists, atheists, marijuana...."eeevvviillll" terms that when used, jerks some people's brains into a "Manchurian Candidate code word" fright that it activates the automaton nerve centers into overtime...which results in beliefs and actions that are contrary to their best interests.
Of course, the young people are highly manipulated as well but they have been largely manipulated to buy the latest iphone or flavored condom...their code words are marketing driven so that they just have to have the newest and latest communication gadget and app.
Of course, it is just these toys that are being used (along with the lowly home computer over the internet, of course) that are being monitored by control groups in the CIA and Pentagon. The smarter ones, who know the difference between a "regular expression" and a "sql injection", for example, might be harder to spy on.
Although, the internet can be used for large masses of people to communicate effectively...and for a real democracy that's what is needed. It is also being used by the "bad guys"...the 1%..the Fascists....and their useful idiots to keep tabs on, and manipulate what people think. They are using their useful idiots to interject poisoned ideas into the internet stream...into blogs...to put doubt into peoples minds about rebelling against them...to accept the status quo (of the ruling elite).
There has had no better way of monitoring what certain people believe, and what they are doing, or intend to do, than the internet. Since IBM supplied Hitler with tabulating machines and punched cards and a continued assistance in amassing information on the Jews and everyone else, which led to the very efficient and speedy identification and attempted annihilation of large masses of people, the modern day equivalent can be just as dangerous, or even more dangerous, to masses of people who are unaware of this.

A NEW ALTERNATIVE. They criticize OWS for not having a solution...here is a solution. My idea in a nutshell. Marx believed that economic models evolve over time by a process he called the dialectic. Feudalism evolved into capitalism that evolves into socialism. What will come next? I propose Firewall Economics. FE puts a regulatory firewall between markets for necessities and luxuries. I am behind the OWS, BUT - If this movement want to succeed with the rest of the americans which they need, they need to get the avg america behind them because too many are critizing the ows. OWS needs a leader, a spokesperson, someone that is a professional, someone that looks like a professional, someone that can speak like a professional, someone that has all the facts, someone that has solid opinions, someone clean cut and well dressed....as much as you shouldn't need this, sadly you do. If you can get this person to speak for OWS, you will gain much much more ground with the rest of the country. The rest of the country sees ows as a bunch of kids who are nothing more than scum, thats really how they're being portrayed. Get a spokesperson that I described for each state that OWS occupys. Trust me on this and do it and you will succeed, don't do it and the media will keep portraying ows and a bunch of worthless humans.
JessieV, that is a very good question and we are glad that you brought it up. You know how these United States of America is quickly becoming a police state, and as such the foreign backed government in Washington, D.C. has worker eyes in all departments of the government all the way down the chain until you come to the police who monitor with cameras and the like. You cannot even safely use Facebook and most forums without protecting yourselves.
Well, up that ladder is Congress, and when many Congressmen and Congresswomen wish to stand up for the rights of their constituants, they soon learn just what they may or may not vote for in the House of Congress, on Capitol Hill. They pass "Laws" which serve the agenda of the 1%. And this law passing goes right down the ladder into Peoples Court. This is why the Supreme Court overruled the lesser Court when it came to allowing the Protesters back in the park with items to keep them warm. The Mayor squealed to those who could not care less about Protesters, and then the hammer came down just above the Superior Court and they gave the final word. That word was the breaking of the Law of the Constitution, and the "worker eyes" do exactly what they are told to do.
Worker eyes are always "squealers" upon the Peoples, and will do whatever the 1% requires of them, whether it is legal under the Constitution or not. This makes Congress and the Senate, also, "worker eyes" and "worker eyes" who sell themselves out for a paycheck, or bribary, or blackmail and threats, are of no use to these, the Peoples of these United States of America.

Re the Blue Dogs...I remember when the Democratic Party contained both conservatives and liberals and the Party was proud of this fact. The Democratic Party used to proclaim to the Republicans that Democrats could embrace both views and work towards common ground. Then came desegregaton and the conservatives fled to the Republican Party which further entrenched Republicans in their conservative beliefs. The conservatives who were left in the Democratic Party became the Blue Dogs as opposed to the Yellow Dogs as Ann Richards was fond of calling the liberals within the Party. Those Blue Dogs are needed to keep the left centered. Had the Tea Party not highjacked the Republican Party, we would have seen schisms within the Republicans, too...those who would occasionally "cross the aisle" to vote with the Democrats.
