Thom. Listen. Alex Jones has some very bizarre ideas. But don't jump around on topics when youre talking with guests. It doesnt make you look good.
You and Alex may agree on the fact that governments lie to citizens. But what the hell was this discussion? Ayn Rand? Glenn Beck? You could have at least read what Jones has said publicly, then challenged him on his statements. But confusing the hell out of Jones and your audience is a terrible tactic, better suited to the teleprompter readers on Fox than on RT.

I'm in the "show the photo" crowd. We have pictures of Mussolini hanging like a butchered pig, we have photos of gangsters shot by the FBI and other gangsters. Release the picture, there's no squeamish reason not to. I don't think people who want to commit terrorist acts are going to say, "You released his death picture, oh no you didn't, now we's gots to kill you even more!!!" They already want to sow terror, show the picture now while the wound's still fresh. If you wait six months or a year, your basically bringing up an old issue and tearing open the wound again. Do it now while the true believers are in shock about it.
If you want to argue about how gruesome such pictures are, that's fine, but its not a social taboo. That's a different issue.

When the American government was run like a corporation. It turned out to be a financial disaster. I am hopeful. Now the government will not fall for sensational soundbites and stay focused on the United States. America's priorities!
This is a perfect example in the contrast between the last administration and the Obama
administration
. The last administration had more leaks than old rowboat. Information used to come out of The White House to settle political scores and gain advantage. That was when government was run like a corp. and Fox news was a part of the family.
It would be refreshing to see classified information stay classified. And the American government act with dignity and self-interest. Donald Trump is carrying water for the GOP. He is going to say and do things that other serious candidates will not. Fox news will try to drag this administration into their realm of questionable information and behavior. I hope they do not fall for it.
Thom you said Bin Ladin was already dead. You've done several segments on your show about it and you've even said yourself that you believed him to be dead. Are You Going To Walk That One Back? Come on Thom, it takes a big man to admit when he is wrong.

Thom Hartmann should have been better prepared for his interview with Jordan Tama.
Here's how:
Tama relied heavily on the validity of the 9/11 Commission Report.
That's such a Establishment thing to do. Thom should have anticipated Tama would refer to the Report.
Certainly Tama presented the Report as if it was the definitive, most-exhaustive, flawless investigation of the events and history that led to, occured on, and followed the attacks on 9/11. In reality, the Commission was impaired by conflicts of interest of its members; a whitewashing of American involvement in training so-called terrorists; the financial motivations of many powerful people to invade Iraq long before 9/11 happened, and so on. Also, as Nafeez Ahmed shows in The War On Truth, a must-read book detailing timelines and logistics that the Report never gets into, the public has been and continues to be lied to.
By exposing the Report to have been so flawed, Thom would have come as looking more erudite. Why was Thom laughing in his questioning to Tama? Why mention the $100,000 and ISI if Thom didn't have a specific reference or citation to turn to? Lawyers are told never to ask a question in court they don't already know the answer to. Thom should have anticipated possible answers by Tama. Tama simply skirted the allegation by saying he was unfamiliar with the story. Thom could have followed up by saying that according to such-and-such paper or document, on such-and-such date, an ISI agent Saeed Sheikh wired $100K to a Mohammed Atta. When Tama would have been caught off-guard, THom could have presented further evidence.
Come on, man!
Detachment
Father Dan was an Indian Catholic priest who gave talks for the Lenten season on various subjects. He passed away a few years ago.
One presentation was on Detachment. He said we must detach ourselves from worldly possessions. We must not let our possessions control us. We must have control over our possessions.
People find themselves becoming attached to worldly possessions. What is important resides within the person and not what he or she shows to the world with external possessions.

Removal of Bin Laden thankfully lays to rest an iconic image of global terrorism. Bush could have ended everything at Tora Bora, but instead chose to use the boogie-man as an excuse to enrich Cheney, strip rights, spend, and deregulate the country into a RIGHTWING HELL. With the Deciders reign of terror and now Bin Laden both part of ugly history, the fear clouds are beginning to part. With this I think the storms of war will also subside. Now is the time for President Obama to sieze the moment ,speakout with the authority of a Teddy Roosevelt, and declare war on domestic economic terrorism.

Larry king is one of the best interviewer of all time and of my favorite too. It has been so many years of his live interview career with almost every biggest celebrities of their time. It has been few months that I have never missed his show but yesterday due to satellite at my house, I couldn't watch this show after so many months. I live near chicago and some of my friends are suggesting me to get dish tv network for more clear television view. I am just confused what to do and what not? Please suggest me ideas?

Barack Obama will not be re-elected in 2012!!!
Here is some information for my prediction.
I believe that at least ten million plus voters will be removed from the voting rolls in 2012 and beyond. The lines for voting in urban areas will be long with fewer voting machines in urban precincts. The electronic voting machines are rigged to include more Republicans receiving the majority of votes.
Our electronic voting machines are rigged to keep Satan’s disciples in the majority forever. Florida’s law will also keep Satan’s disciples in the majority forever.
Florida has passed into law the ability to curtail voter registrations and making it next to impossible for low-income persons, students, and racial minorities from voting. Florida is definitely a Nazi-controlled state where Satan’s disciples prevail over the citizens. There should be minimal doubt that Nazi America has more disciples wearing brown shirts and jackboots. These devils are truly Nazis who prowl the fifty states seeking the ruin of souls.
My wife has a knitting class one day per week. In the class is a woman whose aunt is approaching ninety. She lives in Florida. Her driver’s license needs to be renewed. Plus, she needs to re-register to vote. The aunt needs the original birth certificate, the original marriage license, her husband’s death certificate to prove she is a widow, and proof of permanent residency for Florida, such as a home, townhouse, or condominium. I do not know if an apartment, senior citizen home, or trailer qualifies for permanent residency. Florida is harassing the elderly, taking away their freedoms and rights, and removing them from the voting booth and polls. The conservatives seek to always be in the majority. Our Supreme Court really runs Nazi America and the Court will vote in Florida’s favor that its law is constitutional sound. The Catholic Mafia on the Supreme Court is anti-poor and anti-working class. The U.S. Supreme Court is an extension of our Anti-Christ nation.
I believe that most people who make comments on Thom’s blog will admit that they have learned much from listening to his radio show. We know that Thom is intelligent and in his early school years he was placed in a gifted program. Gifted students can learn more quickly than average students. Thom was able to learn quickly. He is a progressive person and he believes that America has a future. I am twelve years older than Thom and no way close to his gifted intelligence. Age does have some value. I must disagree with Thom and say that the United States of Mortal Sin does not have a future.
Even Einstein is no way near as intelligent as Satan’s disciples, the conservative crazies, the GOP, the Republicans, the Libertarians, the Tea Baggers, the Lobbyists, the rich, and American corporations. These groups are brilliant.
You have only to know and read Florida’s law to see other states following and modeling their laws to be similar to Florida’s law.
I am not a psychiatrist. I am only an average person who can offer an opinion. I would have to say that the United States of Mortal Sin, aka an Anti-Christ nation, is certifiably crazy where most Americans are psychotic. I was asked what I would do if I had the power to improve our election process, such as having our citizens being able to vote. Here are some of my words.
I would like to see ACORN return to have citizens register to vote. Since I am over 60, I can vote by an absentee ballot. Voting by mail may require more scrutiny of qualified voters but voting by mail should be part of the voting process. I believe that the voting booths should open on a Tuesday at the scheduled date, such as 7:00 AM and the voting booths will close at 11:00 PM on Wednesday. That would mean the polls would be open for forty hours. More voting machines in urban areas! A treasonous act for rigged electronic voting machines must be definite! Companies rigging the election or any state and federal person as well as American citizens who rig or elections will need to be prosecuted as traitors against the United States. We must welcome into the voting process more low income voters, the aged population voters, and racial minority voters! We need to be a true democracy in our country before we preach, kill, and maim human populations in other countries to embrace our democracy! I am definitely for having all AMERICANS vote and all AMERICANS should be encouraged to vote by making all AMERICANS feel like they are AMERICANS!!!

@stonesphear, I am not saying that women need to be baby factories. What I am stressing, women need to give motherhood a very close look. A woman needs to understand that children in their early years will require time, affection, care, and love. Having a baby is not a toy that you crank up and after the cranking winds down you put the baby back into a corner in some room. Yes, poverty, starvation, disease, wars for a country's resources, etc are important factors to consider before mothers have children. Having children is a very important and serious responsibility. The conservative crazies came up with the idea that unmarried men and women living on food stamps should marry. The reason why many people are living on food stamps is because there are no jobs. Any person in this day and age who votes for a Republican, a Teabagger, and a Libertarian should seek mental health counseling.

If fact, in the whole 8 years that these white male incompetents were in power, they never even came close to accomplish what Obama has in 2 Years! On top of that, they started a war based on Lies that has led to over 5000+ dead Americans in Iraq, almost bankrupted America and tortured people for no good reason other than it felt good! These 3 incompetents should be brought before a tribunal and prosecuted for War Crimes!

Are our homes a security for national debt ? If so,perhaps very citizen is insolvent? How about the birth of one? Is he or she Already in debt that cannot be paid? Are we being sacrificed by war for corporate greed,health insur etc. Do we even know how to live anymore?
My wife had it spot on. This OBL that they killed wasn't the really OBL. Have you ever seen the movie Princess Bride. Her boy friend was the Dread Pirate Roberts, but it was a franchise. He inherited it form the previous "Dread Pirate Roberts" Who was not the Original Dread Pirate Roberts either. So is this OBL, living in a Million dollar home, the 1st Dreaded OBL or one of the franchises? It's all about the Name.
I'm not entirely convinced they really killed Bin Laden. Where are the photos? We sure had plenty of pictures of Sadaam, but Bin Laden was conveniently killed at night and buried at sea? Hmmm. As to whether his "death" makes any difference or not, I guess we'll see. I tend to suspect that the real perpetrators of 9-11 are still at large.
